The Christian Faith Versus Witchcraft

The challenges and consequences one faces between choosing the ways of God and the ways of the devil through witchcraf to succeed in this life. The devil committed the first act of witchcraft and paid the price when he was kicked out of heaven. Even though God has provided a way through faith to renew the lost relationship with man, the problems still persist as many people have continued to give themselves to this evil art even to this day.

The moment Lucifer stepped out of line and aspired to be like the most High(Isaiah 14v12-15), to sit on the sides of the north, to ascend into the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north and to exalt his stars above the stars of God, the world spiritually and physically changed immensely.

This act saw the birth of the spirit of witchcraft and has been constantly perpetuated in the hearts and minds of humanity for several generations even unto the present time.

Lucifer was not satisfied with his position of worship leader in heaven and when he challenged God for his position, he failed miserably and was kicked out of heaven with a third of the heavenly host of angels.

This demotion generated great satanic anger and hatred against God and his children who are now called Christians due to the fact the first man Adam sinned and God himself had to come in the form of Jesus Christ to provide redemption.

The fact that Lucifer now called Satan cannot directly overthrow and destroy the omnipotent God; he goes straight at his children on a constant basis to destroy their faith and caused them to turn to witchcraft.

People who turn to witchcraft have to given up the sovereignty of their souls to the devil so that he can supply their material needs which include houses, lands, business success, women , and power.

Using the spirit of witchcraft instead of the Christian faith is a direct challenge to the power and authority of God who made all these resources and has a purpose for every person born into this world.

The devil therefore uses his armies to deceive people in believing that he is the great one and can provide all their needs despite the fact that the Lord says in his word that the cattle on a thousand hills, the silver and the gold are his.(Psalm 50v10-12)

Many will believe this lie and accept temporary gain is real gain and proceed to make others accept the power of their witchcraft. Some will even go to the extent of paying considerable amount of money to get their needs met.

However real gain is when one seeks the kingdom of God and his righteousness first according to St. Matthew 6v30 and then allows Him to add all the material blessings.

The spirit of witchcraft is too eternally expensive for anyone to practice it because the Devil always require the soul( the eternal part of man ) of all his disciples, but may not tell them that that is the price for using his witchcraft commodity.

The Christian faith requires one to believe God for all that is needed before it is supplied through his omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent power.

The followers of the Christian faith are saved when they first believed in the power of God (Hebrews 11v6), while the witchcraft workers are deceived materially and then trapped eternally when their soul destination comes up for judgment before the Creator.

Witchcraft has seen the destruction of many leaders including Saul, Balaam, Balak, Ahab and Jezebel to name a few. When Saul turned away from following God and went to the witch of Endor for advice he committed a great sin and died the very next day at the hand of the Amalekite.

Balak called Balaam to curse the sojourning children of Israel who were already blessed by God in Numbers 23, and were both were killed when the same children of Israel invaded their coast.

Ahab and Jezebel in 1ST Kings 21 coveted Naboth for his vineyard like how the devil behaved when he was in heaven , and were killed by Jehu after Elijah followed the spirit of God and pronounce the death sentence on them.

It is interesting to note that Ahab and Jezebel got the vineyard of Naboth but only on a temporary basis because they died some time afterwards. Had Jezebel, Ahab, Saul, Balak and Balaam knew in advance that they were going to die for their evil actions, and then perhaps they would have thought otherwise?

However the Apostle Paul followed his Christian faith when he was on a ship bound for Rome and persuaded the occupants of the ship to stay onboard during the storm in Acts 27. Paul told the entire crew that the spirit of God had told him that no one would die if they all stay on the ship and not abort it. They all obeyed and there were no loss when they storm ceased.

In these cases the spirit of witchcraft brought the followers mentioned only temporary blessings and death, while the Christian faith of the apostle brought deliverance and longer life to an entire crew.

The decision to choose either pathway is still with us today and will have the same consequences as our biblical characters. One should think carefully before indulging in the practice of witchcraft as Ecclesiastes 10 v6 reminds us that he that digs a pit will fall into it and whoever breaks the edge will be bitten by the serpent.

Working evil by use of the spirit of witchcraft will come back to hurt the culprit perhaps even more than expected and once the hedge God puts around man is broken by this indulgence, then the devil will inflict incurable wounds that will perpetuate generationally.

It should not be surprising that many children follow their parents into witchcraft and end up with similar behavior patterns. Similarly the Christian faith has passed down from many parents to their children to the point where many sons and daughters have taken over the pastoral positions of their fathers in many churches. Pastors John Hague and Frederick Pryce sons are boldly walking in their footsteps.

The war between these two forces will continue to challenge the spiritual constitution of humanity for some time to come and only those who walk in wisdom and has strong foundation will make the right decision and keep their souls alive.

Fantastic Philosophical piece. I am challenged with the idea of God and Devil everyday. The Devil has presented himself many times to me so this leads me to believe that there is a more supreme Godly being that is the polar opposite.

    Hi Lauren,
You are perfectly right about a more supreme Godly being and if you continue to inquire into his ways he will blow your mind away with revelations and much more.
    Regards.
