The Cowardly Terrorist

To believe in something so much that you are willing to die for it says much about how a person thinks. The trouble is why they believe what they do. What has convinced them beyond a reasonable doubt that they have the right to take life and be rewarded?

I have never understood cruelty, torture, abuse or evil in anyway.  When I was young, my mother explained to me like this, “…and they can’t understand why you are the way you are.”  When Jesus was crucified He said, “Forgive them Father for they KNOW NOT what they do”.  I know enough about the bible to know that Jesus was not talking about what they had done to Him but what they were doing to themselves.  Think about that for a second.  Can you realize that it is possible to do, (or not do), something and be unaware that you are doing, (or not doing), it?  If we walk, we know we walk unless we are a sleep-walker.  If we talk we know we are speaking but can’t always remember what we said.  We are creatures of habit and habit is a strong force.

I don’t know about anyone else’s God, but my God doesn’t need my help of a certainty.  He cannot tell me in the Ten commandments, “Thou shalt not kill”, and then send me to kill.  He doesn’t work that way and nothing would; it is an oxymoron.  If you act for God, what need do you have for Him or Him for you?  You are standing in His place, “Vengeance is mine so saith the Lord”.  Sin is committed against God not against man.  We do not have the right to avenge what has been done to Him.

If the terrorists of the world or anyone else who believes in killing because you can, why hide?  Why not take the credit for it and accept the punishment?  That’s what a real man would do, and most certainly one acting under the authority of a god.  Where is the valor in killing innocent people?  How do you honor your parents by blowing people up? Where will you be when your child needs you?  It is a sorry thing to see indeed.  But, it would take an extraordinary person to think and act for themself against much adversity but in the end, at the time of judgment by the one true God, we answer alone.  I don’t think, “I did it because so and so told me to”, is going to work.

Food for thought and I hope an answer to a prayer asking that we pray for these people who want to do right but fear the aggressors.  Pray that God strengthens them to do the right thing according to Him, not their neighbor.  God bless you and keep you dear readers, if there are any.  Even if I write to the air, God will hear my prayer.  In Jesus always I pray for this, Amen.
