In Luke 11:1, Jesus prayed in a certain place. His disciples saw him and after He finished praying one of them asked Jesus to teach them how to pray because the know that there is something special in praying.
Jesus taught them on the manner of praying (Luke 11:2-3) by which also is the right way to have an effective prayer. But what is the essence of an effective fervent prayer?
Let us remember these things. One, the effectual fervent prayer teaches us how to acknowledge God’s Holiness and seek his will. In Matthew 6:33, it is written “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.” Acknowledging God’s Holiness and seeking His will make our prayer effective.
Secondly, Luke 11:2-3 teaches us how to be humble. Humility is one of the essence of an effective prayer. God is Holy, and if we come to Him in prayer we should be all worthy. Jesus teaches us to forgive one another. If we are about to pray, let us confess all our sins and if you think you have offended a brother come to him and ask for forgiveness and if a brother comes to you asking for your forgiveness, forgive him.
Last, we have learned to acknowledged God’s Holiness and humbled ourselves to asked for forgiveness. An effectual fervent prayer builds a stronger relationships among family, friends and christian believers. As the saying goes, the family that prays together stays together and the family that stays together prays together.

In conclusion, no prayer is unheard. God answers all prayer. So if we pray let us check our hearts and expect for an answer whether it’s a yes, a no or just wait.
Let us pray and God will do the rest.
