In late August, 2007, Billie, my wife, and I were blessed to be able to take a trip to South Dakota. We saw some of God’s most beautiful creation and met some great folks along the way. It was an amazing trip that was too short and I hated to see it come to an end.
I guess it took me all of about 50 miles on our return trip to start thinking about getting home. As wonderful a journey this had been, I was now focused on one thing: getting back home.
I thank God each day for allowing me another day here on His Earth, for I know that this journey of life is all too short.. But this isn’t my home and ultimately I am focused on getting home to Jesus. I thank God continually that we have His promise and the hope of that Heavenly home.
John 14:2
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Lord Jesus,
Thank You for the knowledge that when the journey on Earth is done You are awaiting us in Heaven above.

We all have a journey, for sure. We are pilgrims travelling through this world on our way to a building not made by the hands of man. Good write!
Good you went on your journey and made it back home in peace.
The time we spend with our loved ones are so precious. Thanks for sharing.
