One day, the truck that was going to deliver the finished pencils to their respective buyers, came. The moment the pencils saw the square and hard-looking vehicle, they scurried away into the darkest corners of the room. Hiding. Afraid.
It happened that the pencilmaker saw this so he called all his creations softly and announced that he is going to say something important,
“My dear pencils, it is time to learn the five lessons; heart and mind”, the pencilmaker began.
- First, everything you do will always leave a mark but
- you can always correct the mistakes you make; for you are a pencil, gentle and strong.
- Third, what is important is what is inside you. So, never speak of weakness because of your body.
- Fourth, as you go on with your life, you will undergo painful sharpenings. Don’t worry though, for this will lead to a better you.
- And the most important of all: to be the best pencil you can be, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the HAND that holds you.
After hearing the five lessons, they stood forth the delivery truck. Courageous. Hopeful.
–This is my version, but you can find the original one in Psalms 73:23-26. Hoped you enjoyed!
