The Spirit of Worldliness Has Overtaken The Church

The church needs to change.

The Pentecostal church times brought major changes in people’s hearts, for the first time in the history of Christianity, believers were told to seek first the things of this world and heaven will follow. This is because the new gospel centers on prosperity and happiness here and now and with little being mentioned about heaven and the second coming. In the sense, seeking happiness on earth before heaven has become a major crowd pulling gospel. But the Bible says "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."  (1 Jn 2:15).

We are living in the times where Pentecostalism is fostering and encouraging the spirit of worldliness in the church and in the individual believer. Instead of striving for true holiness and Godliness in speech, dress, hair, music, entertainment, etc., the Charismatic Movement prides itself in using worldly means to entertain their own and attract the lost.  Stress is on man-centered happiness versus God-centered holiness (Hedonism). They strive for heaven-on-earth now. This is evident in their teaching regarding money and possessions.
