The Truth: The Book of First Corinthians

The Book of First Corinthians is a letter that the Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Corinth and not to just the church which is at Corinth, but to all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their’s and our’s. In this letter the Apostle Paul by the Will of GOD addresses serious issues concerning the church of then and of now, which address sin problems and divisions among the congregation. Both warnings and instruction is given to all members of the Body of Christ to resolve these serious issues.

The Book of First Corinthians, the Apostle Paul by the Will of GOD addresses sin problems and divisions that have entered among the members of the Church of GOD and are causing deputes about the doctrine and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Book of First Corinthians is a letter addressed to the Church of GOD at Corinth, and not to the Church of GOD at Corinth only, but all in every place that call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, their’s and our’s, then and now. The sin problems that were affecting the church at Corinth were not unique to this particular church then, but are the same sin problems that churches in all places are suffering the consequences of presently today.

The practice of sinful behavior does have consequences.

What is sin? Sin is anything that comes against the Will of GOD.

What is GOD’S WILL? To put your (you put yours and I put mine, this is an individual choice and not a collective choice, we all individually must make the choice to have faith in GOD through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ or choose not to, but the choice is ours alone to make for our own self) faith in HIM.

To repent from our sinful ways and to put our faith (to believe) in Jesus Christ, GOD’S only begotten Son, who came and died on the Cross to pay for our (mine and yours) sins, he was then buried in a tomb and Jesus rose back to life again on the third day. And, to ask Jesus Christ to forgive us for our sins and to be our Lord and Savior, and then follow HIM by keeping (living by) His example of living life, treating one another, loving one another, forgiving one another, helping one another with a willing heart and not by force, and most importantly, to love GOD with all of our heart, all of our soul, and with all of our mind.

Matthew 22:35-40 (English Standard Version)

35 “And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

To believe on GOD’S only begotten Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and after that commitment has been made in the heart then let your love and faith in GOD show by keeping our Heavenly Father’s Commandments (instructions) by walking in Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and living by the instructions (the Commandments) that our Heavenly Father gave to us to keep us safe from the consequences of sinful behavior which sinful behavior comes from Evil and Evil destroys all who practice it.

Here is a source to some great teachings from the WORD OF GOD that will help you gain a deeper understanding of keeping (living by) GOD’S Commandments: Keywords “Keeping My Commandments” teachings found in this King James Version Holy Bible.

Will of GOD (GOD wants to have a personal relationship with each and everyone of us and He hopes that each and everyone of us will want to have a personal relationship with HIM and each of us can by putting our faith (to believe) on GOD’S only begotten Son Jesus Christ as Lord and our Savior who came and died, was buried and who rose back to life again to pay the penalty for our sins, so that we would not perish and go to Hell, but instead we can be forgiven by GOD and receive the free gift of pardon (Salvation) and Eternal Life in the Lord Jesus Christ.)

Galatians 1:3-5

3 “Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

John 3:14-17

14 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

I cannot stress this enough to all who are reading this right now; “It is so very important to read The Word of GOD (The Holy Bible)” for your own self, so that you can understand what GOD teaches in regarding “How to live life following the Lord Jesus Christ’s example that he gave for us to live by”. To understand the things of GOD you first must believe (put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior), and then once you truly have committed your heart and life to GOD then GOD will baptize you with the Holy Spirit (The Spirit of GOD, The Spirit of Jesus Christ) so you can understand the things of GOD, the knowledge and the wisdom that are contained in GOD’S Word for the edification (building up in the Spirit the Knowledge and the Wisdom of GOD), so to be able to live a life unto holiness to the glory of GOD through the Lord Jesus Christ.

To Understand the Things of GOD

1 Corinthians 2:1-16

1 “And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.”

What are GOD’S Commandments? The answer is given plainly in Matthew 22:35-40 (King James Version).

The Book of First Corinthians is such a deep spiritual filled letter full of the Wisdom and the Power of GOD, that honestly there is no way to possibly address all of the lessons for the Church of GOD that is contained in the 16 chapters that this book consist of, in this one Bible Study Summary. Originally I had planned to focus this Bible Study Summary on just one or two of the many, many lessons that are taught to the believers and followers that are in our Lord Jesus Christ, but realized that it be important to address the topics that we have just covered up above, so that hopefully more people, possibly even some one reading this message now can learn how to enter into a personal relationship with GOD the Lord Jesus Christ, so to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to understand the things of GOD when reading and listening to GOD speak directly to the heart through His Word (The Word of GOD) commonly referred to as The Holy Bible, but in reality The Word of GOD is so much more than just a book commonly known in this world as The Holy Bible, but we will cover this topic in a future comprehensive Bible Study of The Word of GOD.

Please, if you be a believer and a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, then please take the time to carefully read and/or listen to The Book of First Corinthians, so to be aware of the consequences of sinful practices which some within the congregation may be involved in the practice thereof, and learn how to deal with them as our Lord Jesus Christ has instructed us to do. Also, we learn how to take personal inventory of our own lives and the choices that we are making whether our choices/actions are to the glory of GOD or whether our choices/actions are to our shame. Once we have taken an honest look at our own selves individually as to if we are truly living our faith in Christ Jesus by following Him by walking in the Way of the LORD to the Will of GOD or whether we are continuing to live our lives according to our own terms and our own morals apart from GOD’S Will and Morals and Virtues and Standards for our lives which now belongs to HIM, because we have been purchase by a high price – By the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ shed that He shed on the Cross for you and me. If we live in Christ Jesus, then we belong to HIM, and not any more to our own selves or of the world.

Please really take the time to listen to what our Heavenly Father has to teach us in The Book of First Corinthians, and not only listen but do (live) the things which GOD our Father teaches us through His Word (The Word of GOD):

    My Brother Thanks,

You have done a very good job as always, you are so blessed of God and I thank Him for your work. Paul had a serious work in his day, to get the gospel out to the gentiles in it’s purity…
which he did. He also had to battle many Jews in the Church to get them to accept the gentiles as a part of the body of Christ. Also as with the Church at Corinth, battle sin that had crept into the Churches.
Paul finished his work with great obedience to God in all things.
………….Thanks for such a wonderful share.
    Your Brother in Christ..Ronnie
