The Book of Philippians written by the apostle Paul as it was inspired by the Holy Spirit in the early 60s AD, is a letter that is partly the showing of the joy and the thanksgiving that the apostle Paul had toward all his fellow servants in the Lord Jesus Christ, and also an instruction to encourage all saints to be mindful of the same things that the Word of GOD teaches and instructions all of the followers of Christ Jesus to follow and to do.
It is needful that all saints and the followers of Jesus Christ to learn the word of GOD and to do those things that the Word of GOD teaches and instructs to live and to do. And to be content for those things that we have been giving by God the Father both in our good times and in our bonds to the spreading the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The apostle Paul warns there are some people that walk among us that profess to be of us, but in reality are the enemies of our Lord Jesus Christ. These people claim righteousness by touching the law and minding the things of this world, but denying the only righteousness there is, the Lord Jesus Christ. So, it has been instructed of us who walk after the Lord Jesus Christ by faith to the grace of our GOD in Heaven, to reprove that which is good and hold on to it, but to rebuke that which is evil and separate ourselves from it.
Our joy should be not in the things of this world, but we ought to be mindful on those things that are from above. For our conversation is in Heaven; where our Lord Jesus Christ sits on the right hand of GOD the Father. The maturing of our faith comes by reading and learning the Word of GOD, and then doing and living what we have learned from GOD our Father through his word. In this cause, we are to be of one mind in both the knowledge of GOD through the Lord Jesus Christ and the doing of those things which we have learned by the Word of GOD, so that they will be a manifested testimony of our Faith in GOD in GOD’S only Begotten Son Jesus Christ our Lord and only Savior.
Our righteousness does not come through things that we have done, but only through what Christ Jesus has done for us by the shedding of his Precious Blood on the Cross and the laying down of his own life for us can we have any righteousness at all. For it is by the Righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ, that all who believe in Him are made righteous in Him.
7 “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”
11 “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”
20 “For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”
Only a self-righteous man believes that his righteousness comes from the work that he does, but denying the only true Righteousness the Lord Jesus Christ and the only begotten Son of GOD. It is not the works that we do that holds the power of true salvation, but only the finished work that the Lord Jesus Christ had done on the Cross of Calvary by the shedding of his own Precious Blood and the laying down of his own life that is the finisher of our faith and our hope unto salvation and eternal life.
7 “That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
The Lord Jesus Christ being the first born from the dead, as he was raised from the dead uncorrupted by GOD his Father, and now He (Jesus Christ) sits on the right hand of GOD in Heaven until GOD our Father sends him to catch up his Bride (the Church) in the Last Days. Our hope and our Faith rest in the Lord Jesus Christ to His appearing in the air to catch us up to be with him forever and ever.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

14 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
