There is nothing good about these people. People keep telling me “Ignore them, getting excited over it is exactly what they want.” They have been around doing these things for many many years and ignoring them hasn’t worked yet. “But Justin, people keep giving them recognition and that’s why they keep doing it.” Again, people aren’t going to stop. Ignoring them MIGHT work if people actually ignored them. The problem with that solution is that it’s unrealistic. You can’t expect everyone in the world to ignore something that’s so incredibly wrong and immoral. My point is that the “ignore the problem, it’ll go away” solution isn’t working…at all. This solution rarely works, even in my personal life. I ignore my homework, it doesn’t go away. I ignore my teachers, they don’t go away. I ignore the annoying drunk people under my window, but they don’t go away. Ignoring the problem isn’t going to make it go away. We need to tell everyone in the nation about these people. Tell them what these people stand for, tell them that these people are happy that children are dieing, happy that soldiers are dieing. These people are simply psychotic. I am one person speaking with one voice. I alone am not loud enough to make a difference. The government won’t care, the population won’t care. Those psychotic people came to my campus yesterday and we chased them out in ten minutes. Apparently the cops thought that they might be in danger. I don’t care what you say about our demonstration against them, it may have been exactly what they want but ignoring the problem and having the majority of the population simply being ignorant of it hasn’t solved the problem. I promise you all that if we tell the nation what these people are doing, no one will support them.
If you need to know anything about them, just go visit their site at god hates fags dot com.
Ignoring them hasn’t sent them away and won’t. It appears that someone will have to get up off and do something, how terrible. I, alone, am one voice. One voice with no volume. The unity at UW-Stout sending them out of our college was hundreds of students who think like me, hundreds of students with one voice, one voice that was heard faintly in the distance. We need the nation to rise up, the nation has to unite against these people, these Westboro Baptists. These people aren’t Christians. These people are insane. I don’t want one more non believer to see these people and think to themselves “That’s what a Christian is.” We all need to lend our voice. One nation with one voice, one voice that will echo in the ears of all people
