Many people think that Jesus was a great moral teacher or another great prophet, but He did not want to be thought of as either. He made it clear that He wanted people to believe Him as the Son of God. When you think about it, anyone who would say the things Jesus said about His identity and His purpose must be either a lunatic, or He must be exactly who He said He was and He is – the Son of God.
The life of Jesus Christ bring forth a very thought-provoking question: How can anyone who led such a humble life still have so dramatic an impact on our world more than 2000 years after His death – unless, in fact, He is who He said He was and He is?
A brief review of Christ’s life tells us that He was born to a poor Jewish couple. He was the son of Mary married to Joseph who was a carpenter with no status or influence in the community. The child lived in one of the smallest countries in the world. He grew up in Nazareth; crossroads of wickedness, crime, and immorality.

Jesus Christ never married and had no children to carry on His name – a status symbol in those days. He was rejected, misquoted, and rebuked by His own people. He was publicly humiliated and then tortured to death like a common criminal. He died at age thirty-three.

Jesus’ ministry lasted only three years. He never got to metropolitan areas of the day, such as Rome or Athens. In fact, He never traveled more than 200 miles from home. He had no college degree and wrote no books. He had no access to radio or satellite television, and he had no connections in powerful places. At Jesus’ death, His organization was made up of eleven men with questionable skills and qualifications. Yet He has more than three billion followers today.

Great article! And great courage in writing about Jesus, the Son of God –indeed!
The worst thing that people do is see Jesus as some sort of Religious leader. He is a converter and thank you for your peice.
