Grannies too poorly to see you today, hushed little whispers from far far away. God it’s still raining, please grant me some peace from the loud drip, drip, dripping, breaking into my sleep. The curtains are rustling, the breeze filters in, from the cracks in the windows never filled in.
My body is twisted, tortured and torn, from the long years of living that have done me much harm. But I lay here quite happy in the knowledge of death, for my eyes are wide opened as I take my last breath.
Dear God I salute you for the life that I’ve lead, for the family, and friends, and, all that I’ve had. My soulmate and partner for 50 long years is waiting in heaven with wide open arms. So come take me gently, let my journey begin, it’s just three steps to heaven for those without sin!

Beautiful story and words. Well done Nadine.
Three steps? Is that Scripture? Great tale about Grandma but it’s got me thinking.
