Have you ever prayed for something only to see things get worse? well the Lord has not forsaken you but he is just working all things together for your good not just your one situation for your good so you must trust him because he is not late.

The purpose of this article is to understand the importance of allowing God to answer your prayers his way. By that I mean there are too many people wanting God to do things their way when he is omniscience (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere at once) and omnipotent (all powerful). Martha and Mary became upset with Jesus simply because he did not do things their way. When their brother Lazarus was sick the bible says that Jesus loved them. He loved Lazarus and he still got sick tells us that life happens and we as Christian’s are going to have problems just like everyone else but the difference is that Jesus who said he will never leave or forsake us will always be by our side to help us to go through. In the mean time Lazarus got worse and died. When Jesus got the news that Lazarus was sick he stayed two days more where he was. To Mary and Martha Jesus was late and he did not answer their prayers because their brother died. Have you ever prayed for something and instead of things getting better they got worse? well friend the Lord just wants to do things his way and not ours because he’s working in our whole purpose and not just our situation. Mary and Martha’s situation was for more than just them and their brother Lazarus, but it was for the glory of God the bible says and that was to the Disciples, the people at the tomb when he came back and for us today! Mary and Martha’s way was for him to be there geographically because they said Lord if you had of been here our brother would not have died. Well Jesus had a better way that they knew not of and all they needed to do was simply trust him. That’s what you and I need to do today, trust him because his ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55). Finally Jesus told Lazarus to get up and what they thought was too late was really on time. The same thing goes for us today, it may look like he is too late, but he really is on time, and in time you will see!
