My once in a life time travel experience in the romantic city of Paris, France.

I was not born rich, neither, I can afford for an extravagant trip to Europe. But thanks GOD that he gave me this once in a lifetime chance to travel, explore and have a glimpse of the romantic city of Paris. I don’t have the courage nor the guts to say ‘NO’ especially if the trip is for free. Opportunity knocks only once, so I’d better enjoy it rather than to regret it for the rest of my life.

Our journey was very long, but as excitement filled our hearts, time passed quickly with exaggerating conversations. We boarded and leave Singapore at 3:00 AM (local time). After a tiring yet exciting eight hours somewhere in the middle of the sky, we finally landed at Doha, Qatar International  Airport. We only have two hours to explore and to feast our eyes with eateries, duty-free and all about shopping.

Once again we boarded another plane, and after another tiring yet exciting six hours somewhere in the middle of the sky we finally landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris.

Paris, France is known for its romantic city. As of today, Paris is one of the world’s leading business and cultural centers, and its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world’s major global cities. Here’s some of what I caught during the trip:

MUSEE DE LOUVE, is one of the world’s largest museum, the most visited art museum in the world and a historic monument. Where THE VINCI CODE movie was shoot with TOM HANKS and was released on 2006.

SACRE-COEUR, (BASILICA OF THE SACRED HEART), is a Roman Catholic Church and minor basilica dedicated to the sacred heart of Jesus in Paris. A popular landmark situated at the summit of butte Montmartre, the highest point of the city.

MOULIN ROUGE, is a tourist attraction, offering musical dance entertainment for visitors around the world. Where the jukebox musical film MOULIN ROUGE was shoot  with NICOLE KIDMAN and was released on 2001.

OBELISK OF LUXOR, a red granite column, rises 23 m high, including the base, and weights over 250 tons. The Egyptian obelisk is decorated with hieroglyphics exalting the reign of pharaoh Ramses.

EIFFEL TOWER, become the global and cultural icon in France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The most visited-paid monument of the world stands 329 m tall. Many movies was shoot in this ionic structure, and don’t forget that Hollywood star Tom Cruise proposed to his then-girlfriend Katie Holmes in 2005.
