Many people say they have faith in God but the question is “Do you really have faith in God or do you rely on your own strength? When you take time to worry about situations or take things into your own hands show how much you really trust God. How can you say that you have faith if you worry about things that you can’t change and try to fix things yourself that aren’t meant to be fixed.
Often times I see and hear parents getting upset with their child/children when the child/children don’t understand something that is obvious to adults. My question is always “did you teach the child how to execute the task you asked him/her to perform?”, “How is a child supposed to automatically know and understand what to do and how to do it if they were never taught or guided?”
Another situation is when people get upset when someone doesn’t have the same belief system as them. How can you be upset because someone doesn’t believe what you believe? The reality is people come from different walks of life and no two people are just alike. Two individuals can have similarities but still be so different. When you find out those differences you or the other person can’t be upset because you may like something that the other doesn’t like.
You can’t be upset when a person doesn’t believe in the same things you believe in. Primarily you see this type of argument in a church/religious setting. Many people say they are Christians but they don’t all believe the same things. Some believe that Jesus is God in the flesh and some believe Jesus is just the son of God. Some believe that God cares about how you look on the outside and some believe it is about the heart so what is right and what is wrong?
Romans 14:22 NIV says “So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves.” So basically you are judged according to what you believe and not what someone else believes about you or what you are doing. Everything is based on personal convictions and everyone’s convictions aren’t the same.
The devils job is to keep us as individuals so distracted with other people’s situations that we never pay attention to ourselves and that when we began to judge others and make our convictions their convictions. When this happens confusion starts to form and before you know it you are in a chaotic situation that you don’t know how to handle. We must all be mindful of our own situations and only be here to help others.
One of the keep things that start’s to happen when people focus in on other people is Gossiping. If you want to wreck a church, work environment or anything else let gossip start talking effect and watch and see what happens. In today’s society people use the internet to start gossip and the sad thing about it is no one will be willing to accept responsibility even though there is a paper trail.
I personally think that if we are going to go anywhere as a society we have to stop looking around at other people and start to look at ourselves and make the proper adjustments to get ourselves together. Focusing on other people does nothing for you as an individual so why make other people a priority of yourself.
Having faith in God requires patience, focus, prayer and a true relationship with God. So instead of looking around at what is wrong with the world let’s focus on ourselves and get you together. Everything that is required for change starts with an individual.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
