UNTV Host Daniel S. Razon known as Mr. Public Service because of his innumerable services to the public, works of charity and kindness, the co-founder of the Transient Home of the Kamanggagawa Foundation, and the Vice Presiding Minister of the Members Church of God International (MCGI), encouraged his brethren and all who were listening, to steadfastly read the Bible regularly.
With the succeeding Bible verses, the Atheist’s contention that they can be good without God is without basis, as Jesus has said that there is no other good except God alone. Thus, no one can be good without God. Mark 10:17-18 provides, Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.” In Psalms 100:5 – “For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.”
Also, among others, he further cited the following verses as God’s instruction to all, to read the Bible regularly and abide by it:
I Timothy 4:13 – “Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”
The Romans 15:4 – “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”
Revelation 1:3 – “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”
Colossians 4:16 – “Now when this epistle is read among you, see that it is read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.”
Acts 17:11 - “These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.”
I Corinthians 10:11 – “Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.”
Deuteronomy 6:7 – “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”
In his persistent desire to help everyone, not only from amongst his brethren but to all human races, Mr. Public Service continuously and inspiringly motivated his listeners to live in a true Christian way of life. He is indeed an icon to his brethren and in a way, even to his enemies.
Living in the Words of God, it was instilled to him by his mentor, by no other than the phenomenal preacher, Bro. Eliseo F. Soriano, the Presiding Minister of the Members Church of God International and the television host of the multi-awarded TV program, the Ang Dating Daan.
Kuya Daniel, as he is being called by his brethren, also spearheaded so many projects to help his fellow constituents. Some of them are the following:
1. The “Munting Pangarap Program”, which gives the beneficiary a chance to earn a living and help augment their daily needs for sustenance.
2. The “Libreng Sakay” (Free Bus Ride), operating along Epifanio De Los Santos Avenue, daily;
3. Free Metro Rail Transit tickets for Senior Citizens;
4. Free medical check-ups and regular medical missions including free medicines, free dental check-up and free false teeth;
5. Free legal consultations and legal missions including visitations to city and provincial jails, helping neglected prisoners both legally and spiritually;
6. Various feeding programs in schools, in the depressed areas of Metro Manila and even in the regions;
7. Unceasingly gives support to orphans and victims of calamities and disasters, and such many other philanthropist’s works.
Living what he preached, just recently, he introduced an advocacy called as, “Isang Araw Lang” (only one day), which encourages everyone to do good things for a day, which will be marked as the commencement of a lifetime commitment to do good works for others. This is one of his many ways in addressing economic problems, environmental issues and concerns, and matters of spiritual substance. Also, he provided scholarship grants to qualified students up to college at the La Verdad School in Apalit, Pampanga, and awaiting its forthcoming branch in Metro Manila, to make it more accessible to poor students in Manila.
Mr. Public Service’s TV program at UNTV (the public service channel), “Good Morning Kuya”, unceasingly extends genuine public service in the true sense of the word, to everyone who comes along in varied circumstances, asking for help.
In an occasion, I’ve heard him say, “Whenever you have problems, the more, that you should come closer to God because if you will be affected and keep away from Him, the more that you will encounter hardships and greater tribulations. Later, you will realize that your two feet were already buried and it becomes deeper and deeper down below. Thus, if we have troubles, we should get closer to God.”
One way of getting closer to God is to read the Bible and put into action the things you have read. But, to be able to succeed in this endeavor one should commit oneself to set regular daily schedule to read the Bible with fervor and enthusiasm and not just for compliance.
According to “Kuya” (elder brother), as he is being called by his brethren in faith, “commitment is the enemy of resistance. Learn the strategy, and the hope that is in you. Take care of it. Those who have hope, persists. Set your priorities. If you are committed no matter what, no excuses. Challenge your excuses. All things have its proper time. It starts from within.”
He further said, “When a person committed himself to do something, he or she will find ways to suppress rationalization even when it is inconvenient. Such a person will keep his or her commitment in life.”
Now, with all these wisdom learned from Mr. Public Service, chances are, it will now all depend on our choice whether or not we will consider and will also put into practice what we have learned.
Indeed, this serves as a challenge for every citizen of the world, most especially the believers of the risen Christ to join the crusade of reading the Bible daily and make it manifest in our lives.

Enlightening piece. Thanks!
How come they impute Mr. Razon with false accusations. With all these projects he initiated, I think he is worth to be a national/ international leader. The world needs someone like him.
I could see good leadership with Mr. Razon – God-fearing, logical, trust-worthy, results-oriented, truly a PUBLIC SERVANT!!!
May other political leaders be like him.
AieChin,
