Ryan is the most popular guy at the university. He is the most favorite student of all the professors because he is intellectual. He dates many girls because of his charm. He is also athletic and disciplined that is why he is the star player of the football team. He has everything he could wish for.
One day, his friend Jeff invited him at the coffee shop. The coffee shop seems so crowded when they arrived. He noticed a pretty girl named Kate. Then, Jeff introduces him to Kate. And, the three of them joined the other group sitting at the corner.
When everybody in the group has settled down in their seats, Kate opened her Bible and narrated some following verses. Ryan was surprised at Kate as he said, “This chick is a Jesus freak!” Then, Jeff replied, “Shh… Listen. You may learn something.”
Ryan was surprised at Jeff and said, “You are a Jesus freak too. Oh, man!”
As Ana continued her reading, she narrated the first verse of Ecclesiastes, “Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, Vanity of vanities, all is vanity. What profit has a man from all his labor in which he toils under the sun? One generation passes away, and another generation comes;”
Then, the girl name Therese continued, “But the earth abides forever. The sun also rises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it arose. The wind goes toward the south, and turns around to the north; the wind whirls about continually, and comes again on its circuit.”
Everybody takes their turn in reading the verses from the Bible except for Ryan for he is not comfortable in the activity of the group. He said, “Sorry, guys. I am not into this. I am not one of you guys.”
He quickly got up from his seat and left. Jeff tried to stop him but Kate insisted. She said, “He may understand us soon.”
When Ryan reached home, he opened the book of Ecclesiastes. And, he read the first verses again. He remembered what his late father told him, ”Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.”
For his dad, everything is meaningless even though he is the richest person in the world. He learned his lesson through his experience, and he passed what he learned to his son Ryan.
Then, Ryan knelt down and prayed, “God, please forgive me.”
And, Ryan accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. And, his life is found to be fruitful.

hahaha! just a critic… the story holds a nice lesson but the happenings in the story are vague and choppy…
hey anonymous! well, what can I say? Some evangelistic stories are vague and choppy as we described them.
