Victims Of Monsters

The fact that we, have “test-tube babies” today does not mean that God has been dethroned, for men are simply imitating what God can do, proving once again that it takes life to make life. God is still in control, but men had better bow before Him and obey His laws, lest they try to become God and interfere with His natural laws.

One of our great problems today is the fact that man has a great deal of knowledge but very little wisdom.

Wisdom is the ability to use knowledge for the best purposes. We have unlocked the power of the atom, but now we don’t know how to control it. We are, like Dr. Frankenstein, the victims of the monsters we create.

Every “breakthrough” in science usually means a “breakup” of something else. Our insecticides kill the pests, but they also upset the balance of nature and help create ecological problems far more serious than the pests. Knowledge without wisdom makes man both a tyrant and a victim.

The Serpant’s offer in the Garden of Eden was “Knowledge without God” and today we see the sad consequences.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5
