It takes real brains to come up with such witty comebacks as mr. unknownatall. Such prose! Such insightful use of language! This is an example of why innocents are killed for simply having an opinion. This is the kind of person who rushes into a church and blows away people who are not as "all-knowing" as mr. unknownatall. Say a big howdy to to your pals, Adolph, Joseph, Pontius, and "Luce" when you get "home."

No question he was gay, just from the overcompensation unsupported by Jesus' teachings. He definitely doth protest too much.

Remember, he developed the whole "Jesus died for our sins, we are scum" concept. How many televangelists and far-right politicians must be found in airport rest rooms or brothels before we recognize this mindset for what it is?

So much guilt and repression lead to fanaticism. And this doesn't even discuss the matter of his good friend Timothy...

I think the apostle Shaul was suffering from a sexually transmitted disease of which he may have inherited from his forefathers.think about it once you get one
of them diseases (antibiotics)can't get rid
of them they simply go dormant, and can break
out years later as a stroke, heart attack,
lung cancer.I do lots of internal cleansing
becuase I've made mistakes in my young days
the flesh is playing a horrible mind game.

God does not hate homosexuals, but God does hate the sin of homosexuality, just as God hates adultery, fornication, and any other sin, sexual or not! The Apostle Paul's struggle was one with sin, just like we all face. We don't need the details to know that whatever it was, God's grace was sufficient to overcome it. God's grace is sufficient to overcome any sin if we repent. God's word says be fruitful and multiply, so gay sex is unnatural to God's plan for human beings. Not to mention all the consequences of gay sex such as STDs, encopresis, and others. It is a sin and needs to be overcome with God's help.

May God have mercy upon you for suggesting such an evil thing about Apostle Paul. No amount of rationalisation can justify your pitiable allegiance to the gay community and God can never endorse anything evil; so be rest assured that unless you guys in that twisted sphere of life change, you will be condemned to eternal damnation. The truth is obvious. If God supported gay life He would have created Adam and Steve and not Adam and Eve. REPENT!!!

Thank you for your comments! While one's orientation has no bearing on "character" in a moral sense, it does provide just one more piece to the complicated puzzle of understanding such a monumental historical figure.

This topic may be of interest to Gays for garnering more support.
But this topic does not have any bearing on the character of this great apostle.

Thank you for your comments! I too hope that the disconnect between Christianity and the gay community will be bridged.
I'm a devout believer in Yeshua. I came across this article while searching online for certain scriptures. The description of warring factions in his members does, to me, suggest temptation of a sexual nature. Praise God for Paul's honesty, for through that we all can benefit in our struggles with temptations. Maintaining a life I celebesy is a tall order for anyone, gay or straight. Sexual desires are normal and human, but when misdirected to people other than our mate, they do separate us from God's Presence. I've always been moved by Paul's devotion. Because Paul struggled against his torment, whether or not he was gay is irrelevant to me, as it is irrelevant to God. The only reason I would suggest otherwise is that, as a former Pharisee, he would have had to have been married to a women in order to attain that position. Marriage was a "requisite" for holding that office. (Of course, same sex marriage isn't necessarily "proof" of heterosexuality.) But I enjoyed this article, and I feel like it might build a much-needed bridge between the gay or lesbian people and God. Oftentimes, all they hear from pulpits is that their lifestyle is a "abomination." But they seldom hear the whole Truth, that to a repenting heart, no sin is greater than God's grace. Very well done, thank you!
