Published by Many of us know about the movie back to the future. In the movie Marty is able to go back and fix his mistakes. What would you fix if you had a time machine?
What if you and me can do that? we learn through this movie that every action we take can change and alter our future and the future of people we love. Like when George Marty’s dad takes a stand for the bully in his life alters his future by who he will marry and how he would succeed in the future. Now I know you might be thinking that is a movie what does this have to do with my life.
We all wish we could have done things differently, we wish we could not gotten a divorce and kept the family together or we wish we could have spent more time with our children. Or we wish we didn’t say anything bad about someone or we wish we had went to school for something else. No matter what we had done in the past the DeLorrin car time machine from back to the future can’t help us.
I do know our father in heaven who holds our past and our future. He will forgive us of our past and will lead us in our future. If we ask him to forgive us of our past mistakes ( our sin) When we ask Him and realise that He alone can heal our broken heart. As far as the future is concerned, we have a lot to do with that. If we commit to follow Jesus Christ and be completely sold out to what He wants to do in our life. We can live a life with no regrets. Am I saying that life will always be bed of roses? No ! What I am saying is when we put your life in the hands of God we can be sure that at the end of our life when we look back we will know that we were satisfied.
- Today, put your past behind you. Ask God to forgive you of all your sins. If you have not made Jesus Christ Lord and ruler of your life do so right now. He alone can take you into your past and forgive you of all of it. He paid for our ugly past with His blood on the cross.
- Forgive yourself. So many times we ask God to forgive us and yet we do not forgive ourselves. Jesus said I have come to heal the broken hearted. Let Him do the healing in you. God is for you and not against you. You don’t have to live a life of shame. God wants you healed.
- Decide to grow beyond just salvation. God want us to grow in our walk and love for Christ. Get in the word, praise Him not just on Sunday. Don’t be religious be real.
- Decide to live not just for yourself but for others. “Others Lord yes others” Let this you motto be.
In God time is eternal. Make you life count for Him. God bless you and remember Jesus Christ is real and He loves you. No matter what you have done in the past. There is forgiveness and love for you at the cross of Jesus Christ. Put you time in His hands.
