There are many different religious beliefs out there. There is Christianity, The Christians have been around since the days of Christ. The Christians book of beliefs is known as the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible has 66 books which are broken into the old testament and the new testament. The Holy Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin named Mary.  Mary was suppose to marry Joseph. Joseph had doubts about Mary. An angel of the lord came to Joseph in a dream and told him he should get married to Mary.

In the Bible, little is known of the childhood of Jesus. The Bible tells us that Jesus went to the a distant town with a temple  with his parents Joseph and Mary. The scholars and priests were amazed at the knowledge that Jesus had. At that time Jesus was eight years old. Jesus stayed and talked with the scholars and priests for a about a day.

Joseph and Mary and the group that they were with left the city. They had left Jesus behind and didn’t realize it for about a day. Once they had realized it, they went back to find Jesus still at the temple. Both Joseph and Mary were worried about Him. Jesus said not to worry that he was doing his father’s work. It seems that Jesus knew that He was the son of God at a very young age. Little else is known about him except that his cousin was John The Baptist. They grew up together. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. At his baptism, the spirit of the Lord descended from heaven like a dove.

After His baptism, Jesus went into the wilderness where he was tempted by Satan for forty days and forty nights. He took nothing with him into the wilderness except the clothes on his back. Jesus overcome all of the temptations that were put before him. On the fourty day, the angels came and attended to Jesus.  Jesus then began a 3 Year ministry. He healed many people, he cast out demons and he raised Lazarus from the dead. These are just some of the miracles that he performed.

Jesus had half brothers and sisters. James was thought to be one of his half brothers. The book of James was written by James. He was not a believer at the time the book was written. He was known as James the Just. James became a believer after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The time had come for one of his own disciples to betray Him. Jesus had twelve disciples. Jesus knew that it would be Judas who would betray him.

Jesus was tried and found guilty. His punishment was to be put to death. He was beaten with a cat of nine tails and a crown of thorns was placed upon his head. He took the stripes for our sickness and diseases. They stripped Him of his clothes and they forced him to carry a wooden cross to the spot where they nailed him to the cross. He hung for six hours and then he died as a sacrificial lamb for our sins.  Three days later he rose again and was seen by his disciples as well as many others.

Jesus died so that we can have eternal life. You only have to ask for forgiveness of your sins and acknowledge him as the son of God. You need to repent of your sins and ask God for forgivness and he will forgive you. You should then attend a church where you can learn more about what to do now that you are saved and a follower of Jesus Christ.
