Aim: To remind the Church to exercise God’s love with in the family of God.
Intro.: The fruit here that the Lord Jesus talking about that we are going to bear
is the Love that we are going to exercise so that our Joy will be completed.
How then are we going to show that love?
- Know the Source= verse 1 says, I am the true Vine. Jesus is the Source of that love. The more we know Him the more we will be filled with that love.
- Accept the Cleansing= verse 2 says, the Father prunes. This means He disciplines us in order to get rid of all bad habits and characters.
- Remain in God= verse 4 says, remain in Me. Remain means constant fellowship with God. Minute by minute communication with Him. That is walking with God like Enoch.
Conclusion
The greatest task and purpose of a Christian is to bear that Fruit which is Love. When we do that our joy will be complete because there will be no envy, there will be no competition, no hurting, and no war in this world. Be a real Christian, show that love.
