When Was the Last Time You Said Thank You?

Life isn’t about being fair. But we have to surpass the unfair reality.

There are times in our life when we easily give up when everything falls into pieces. And easily loses hope when every body turns their back on us. This is perhaps because most of us always desire a perfect situation, a perfect life.

Here’s a simple story of a swimmer who was saved by his faith of possible injuries:

A swimmer went to the pool to practice. The lights were off and only the moon was bright. He climbed up to the highest diving board, turned his back to the pool and extended his arms out. He noticed his shadow form a cross shape. Instead of diving he knelt down and cried out to God to come into his life. Suddenly, someone walked in and turned the lights on. He cried even more when he saw that the pool had been drained for repairs.

The God, the Father, do not grant us a perfect life. What He gives instead is a perfect heart in the midst of an imperfect life. Jesus said: “ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.” It’s a promise but He didn’t say how long. However, remain humble like a child. The child’s simplicity and humility is what we need to enter heaven.

Here is a video clip composed by priests in the Diocese of Malaybalay: viewed from the concept of Bryan Adam’s song “Everything I do, I do it for you”.

May this video presentation reminded us of life’s reality: that only God knows…be like a child… Be it a simple reminder that in “Everything you do, do it for His greater glory.”

Too often when we pray, it because we are in need of God’s help. We should pray more often to thank God for the wonderful things he has given us.

sometimes we only say thank you if we received a good favor. but we should also learn to thank for things that is unfavorable. example, if our house was gutted down by fire, we should not be thankful because we lost our house but let us be thankful because we did not die in the fire. nice story and article
