Five Essentials for the Lord’s Work

It is not definite what the most prevalent problem in Christian living is today, but many people can agree that there seems to be a lack of motivation and work in the Church. Doing the work of the Lord and doing it effectively requires us to have strong motivated attitudes.

1.) A Powerful Faith- If you do not believe in anything, you will not work for anything. We must have faith in God to pull us through anything, in essence giving us faith in ourselves to accomplish our tasks. One of the most quotes verses in the Bible is Philippians 4:13 which says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” So let Christ strengthen you! Let Him empower you to go do the work of the Lord; have faith that you can accomplish anything.

2.) A Joyful Heart- We have many things to be thankful for in our lives. It would be pointless to do the work of the Lord if we planned on being bitter about it the entire time. Be happy to do something for the Lord and even more, be happy with your life in general. We are all children of God, we all have spiritual blessings, and in the end we will all find ourselves walking those streets of gold in heaven! Keeping those things in mind, how could we not be joyful 24/7? With a joyful and thankful heart, the work of the Lord will be almost easy.

3.) A Reliance on Prayer- According to James 5:16 “the prayer of a righteous man avails much.” Prayer is our gateway to God while we’re here on this earth. Look at it this way; the people who are not interested enough in God to pray, are not interested enough in God to work for him. Understand that God answers prayer (that doesn’t mean he says “yes”). Understand that prayer has the ability to change your life. With that in mind, pray about things that are changeable, pray that our desires can be conformed to God’s, and remember that God by far the most capable to fix what we want fixed.

4.) A Personal Love- Obviously we must love the Lord. It is the greatest commandment according to Christ, to love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, and mind. If we love the Lord, he will not let us down (as if he would let us down even if we didn’t). We have to love our brothers and sisters in Christ. For work to be accomplished, unity must first be accomplished. Showing love to those around us will create unity, which will then create more opportunity for work to be accomplished.

5.) A Persistent Effort- Persistence is a huge key to getting work done in the Church. It took Noah 120 years to build the ark, and the entire time he was being made fun of and told how crazy he was. After a little rain he didn’t look so crazy anymore. We cannot allow ourselves to be discouraged from a lack of results. If we continue working for the Lord peristently, He will give us results. The key is to keep trying, not matter what.

We people of the world are taking note of the Christians at work to do the bidding of the cavemen who wrote the bible:Filled with its mysticism, peculiar hatreds, and superstition, which you intend to inject into a modern world. We have noted with great interest the display of Christian Love from the ministers who did the bidding of the cavemen who wrote the bible, by going over to Nigeria and inspiring its leadership to write up in its very laws that all children born gay are to persecuted unto death, and all people who do not turn them in be imprisioned. We the rational people of the world invite all other truly rational and intelligent members of the human race to develope a system of ethics based on fairness and Justice with which to instruct all children of the world rather than having these “fairy tales” and “contradiction” fostered upon them by religions. You, yourself have been indoctrinated from a child to a man: They have you now..those who believe in an artificial reality. When you are stronger. You know what must be done.

This is another great article! A key verse to remember (although the location of it has slipped my mind), is that we (as Christians) should do everything without grumbling and complaining. Who cares if it is doing the dirtiest job on the face of this earth, or working from home making millions? God wants us to want to do service. He came to earth to show us how to serve. “The son of man did not come to be serve, but to serve”
