Worship Awareness Equals God Awareness

Worship awareness and or the opportunities for worship can reveal information about your relationship with God. How deeply do you really know Him? How aware of Him are you throughout the day?

Recently and when pondering on the types of responses or categories of worship that there are; I began to see that being aware of these moments and understanding them brought me into more of an awareness of God. In short, awareness of worship brings about God awareness. It can also reveal what the temperature of our relationship with Him may be. What place do you find yourself in?

Responses Resonating From God’s Nature

Have you ever viewed a spectacular painted picture of nature directly by the hand of God, like a beautiful sunset and almost fell into worship? I know when ever this happens to me I am bombarded with thoughts of how holy and awesome God is, and I just want to thank him right there. Some of us have experienced these captured moments, and I believe that God intended them to be flashes of awareness of Him. They are also soft gentle reminders that He is here with you and me. I have found that these brief episodes cause me to want more of Christ, and they resonate within my soul. I am reminded in that moment that I am a sprit being in Christ. I may go into deeper worship right there if I am able to seclude myself and take the time. I have known novice, experienced, and seasoned saints to have these little moments in God. These moments do not satisfy the deep longing that we have for Christ. They are merely a tickle from God wooing us towards Him. They are however, very special brief moments with God.

Have you ever had an experience with God where His presence fell on you, and you worshiped him right in the middle of church? You became aware that He was courting you. I love when this happens. I block everyone out around me, and I just revel in Him. There is an intimate exchange going on between He and I. While anyone can have this type of encounter, it is mostly experienced by those who have a relationship with God. They are believers. If they are backslidden, God can still touch them and woo them back. Healing can happen in these moments too. How does one “fall” into this? You have to be open to God and get your mind off of other things. You can’t make it happen, but if you leave yourself open to God, He will eventually meet you in this multifaceted place. Our soul is hungry for God. If you tap into this hunger, you will want more of God. God always longs for us. This may be the secret: longing for each other. In short, this brings about an awareness of our need for God.

Responses Reverberating From Times in Prayer & Reading His Word

Have you ever been praying or reading the Word and felt God move upon you, and then you worshiped? This to me is the sweetest type of communion one can have with God. You have to have a relationship with God to experience these moments. For example, if you are reading about God’s faithfulness and reminders of how faithful He has been to you flow in your heart and mind; you begin to worship based on how awesome He is, who He is, and because He has been faithful to you. It’s not like the nature response in which your like wow! What a beautiful sunset. It’s more like you are so good and faithful to me. Thank you so much Lord. You feel the Lord right there with you in that moment. These are the moments that carry us through life.

I am also reminded of Nehemiah Chapter 8. God’s people had just come out of Babylonian captivity. The priest open the Word of God, and God’s presence fell on the people. It fell so swiftly and sweetly, that no one could stand. They were in awe of his presence and the Word of God. The more you walk with Lord, the more your read His word, the more aware you will be of Him. When you do this daily, it will pour out into your life. You will see God moving and working on your behalf and others because you want to be more aware of Him and what He is doing in His Earth.

Are there more types of worship or responses to God through Worship than the above three? Sure there are. The more I find; the more aware of God I will be. The more you find; the more aware of God you will be!
