But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24-25
God is looking for people who want to worship “in spirit and in truth!” This is exciting to know because it is something we can do, confident that we are pleasing God! We know what kind of people God is looking for, and we know that we can be that kind of people. Please join me in an intentional focus on worship, highlighting the importance and benefit of worship, in your prayers and in your conversations with family and friends.
We need to emphasize attendance at the Sunday morning worship services. The Bible says, “Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.” (Hebrews 10:24-25). Since ancient times, God has established worship as the central activity for people of faith. Through worship, God inspires us and imparts blessings for us to share with our families and friends. During worship, we return God’s tithes and add our offerings of substance and service to support the work of the Kingdom. From worship comes our commitment to service projects, our vision for the spiritual life, our growth in discipleship and our understanding of the Christian faith. Worship shapes our lives and forms us into a fellowship of believers who love one another as Christ has loved us
