After 9/11 attack, the world changed its way of looking at a Muslim. Even few of my friends started saying publicly that they hate Muslims. When got to pass through a lady wearing burqa (an outer garment which is generally black in color), covering from head to toe or if a man with white kurta and short beard, they started giving weird look.

I have seen people watching Muslims with suspicious eyes in airport and railway stations, thinking that they may pull up a gun at any moment and start shooting or threw a bomb at any time. They are not aware that since those people who did the sin of 9/11 causing lose and pain to at least 5000+ families are Muslims does not mean that all Muslims are terrorists. Many companies do extra checks if the recruited employee is a Muslim and most of the western companies do avoid employing them itself.

But I really have so many good Muslim friends who are good in heart and to be frank; those are the people who won my heart by their pure love. Hameetha Begum is my friend who I would vote as the best human being of this world. She taught me how to face even painful situations with smiles. Even if someone hurts her just because she is a Muslim, I used to feel bad. But she used to say with a smile, “I’m didn’t get hurt dear. They are speaking so, because they might have been hurt by some Muslim. Let them relax by letting it out on me”.
One of my uncles (Mother’s own brother) turned into a Muslim by marrying a Muslim lady. By that I got Muslims as not only friends, but also as relatives. When I got to stay with my uncle’s family for a while during my job search, my aunty (of course she is), stopped preparing non vegetarian foods just because I don’t eat those foods. For those who think what a big deal it is, my uncle’s family consists of 7 members out of which none of them will live without eating non vegetarian food for even a single day. But the entire family didn’t take chicken or mutton or fish for those 2 months I stayed with them. Of course my uncle’s younger daughter aged 5 at that time used to create small problems J
Whatever the world thinks of them, I strongly believe there would be much more kind hearted living among Muslims. Don’t turn them too into terrorists by your cutting looks and hurting words. They are already suffering a lot in many ways.

Very interesting view! nice article.
Always have a soft corner for the muslims. Even the terrorists have a tale of their own: many of them have suffered at the hands of oppressors. Many are mere puppets, doing others’ biddings.
hmm sensitive topic dared to touch, great guts. Nice work
Nice article..will gain a lot of popularity votes.
