I became very curious about the Muslim religion when the war started in Iraq and bought the Koran at a bookstore. I have read it. I saw that it was taken from the old testament but departed from the new testament. I saw that it teaches the muslims to kill those they can’t convert to the muslim religion. I am not a religious person but it disturbs me greatly that any religion teaches their members to kill non members.
Interesting to learn…
Interesting facts.

Allow me to explain, Islam do not teach us to kill carelessly. Islam is a peace religion. Do you want to know that Islamic person forbidden to kill everybody even they are not muslim/nonmuslim. If you only know that Islamic person can kill non-muslim, you have to know the case first (Ruby Hawk) that everyone have rights to defense, right? We as a muslim permitted by Allah SWT (God) to defense ourself from non-muslim that attack us first. In conclusion we oly permitted to defense even kill someone only if we are attacked by a person that do not bring Allah SWT’s name. If he/she taubat(realize in Islam and say Laa Ilaaha Ilaallaah: there is no god but Allah SWT (Almighty))we can not kill him/her. That’s only that I can say to you. Hopefully Allah SWT gives you a hidayah (clue).

The Quran has nothing to do with the Old Testament (Ruby Hawk). I do not know what you read. But some people in America like to justify Amrica’s Foreigh Policy. I advise re-read the Quran and not only bit and pieces to suit your own beliefs about Islam. There are many Westerners like that have converted to Islam because of it peacefulness, but also as human beings we have to defend ourselves.
