Radical Islam’s dishonest tactics are being used to infect American society with Sharia Law.
This can be seen in the words of Dalia Mogahed, Barrack Obama’s Muslim Affairs advisor, when she equated “sharia law” with “gender justice” on the Islam Channel talk show.
The show was hosted by Ibtihal Bsis Ismail and featured guest Nasreen Nawaz, both belonging to the extremist Hizb ut Tahrir party, which attempts overthrowing democracies through nonviolent cultural jihad.
The dishonest tactic mentioned involves deliberate concealment of a despotic doctrine (i.e. Sharia Law) by wrongful association with a more appealing idea (in this case, “gender equity”).
In their article, “Barack Obama adviser says Sharia Law is misunderstood”, Andrew Gilligan and Alex Spillius wrote that Mogahed said : “…the western view of sharia was ‘oversimplified’ and the majority of women around the world associate it with ‘gender justice’ “.
However, Mogahed is either badly misinformed—despite being Muslim—or she is lying. Either way, the facts prove her wrong: women do not receive “gender justice” from “Sharia Law” societies.
Let us itemize those facts:
On the show, Nawaz admitted that a Sharia government will not allow women to be rulers.
Further, Islamic dictatorships based on Sharia Law, like Iran, victimize women. They include Atefah Sahaaleh, 16 year old Iranian girl who was arrested, whipped 100 times, and abused in prison by the “morals police” (likely Basij militiamen or other segment of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard). Her “crime” was partying and being with a boy alone in a car. This was reported by the BBC website, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/5217424.stm, which went on to report Atefah’s rape by a 51 year old ex-Revolutionary Guardsman, Ali Darabi.
The “morals police” arrested Atefah for a fourth time for “moral” offences. Her rape by Durabi came to light when she was bought before corrupt and despotic Judge Haji Razai. Because women do not have respect equal to men, Atefah’s accusation of rape was casually disregarded by the “Sharia Law” Court. Realizing this, Atefah had an understandable outburst of righteous indignation in court. Judge Haji’s response: he had her executed, putting the rope around her neck himself.
Atefah Sahaaleh is one of millions of Iranian females who are raped and/or killed under “Sharia Law” for so-called “moral” offenses. The BBC article also pointed out that under Sharia Law the age of consent for a married girl was 9. Hence, Iran’s regime legalizes rape. Commonsense tells us that 9 or 16 year old children are too young to give consent.
Furthermore, Islamic or Sharia-based regimes also condone the murder of females by male family members (i.e. so-called “honor kills” that have nothing to do with true honor). In fact, Gilligan and Spillius quote the President of Concerned Women for America, Wendy Wright as saying, “ There is a reason sharia has got a bad name and it is how it has been exercised…there have been acts of injustice perpetrated against women that are driven by the Sharia-type mindset that women are objects not human beings,” she said.
Gilligan and Spillius go on to write, “She cited the example of Muzzammil Hassan,…who ran a cable channel aimed at countering Muslim stereotypes and was charged…with beheading his wife after she filed for divorce.”
So the facts show Sharia Law to be oppressive towards women’s rights. So Dalia Mogahed’s association of Sharia Law with “gender justice” is a false one. This tactic fools superficial minds into believing that Sharia Law respects individual rights.
Mogahed uses the false association to fool the public into accepting a doctrine that will violate our rights and enable radical Muslims to dominate our entire lives.
Cultural jihadist Nasreen Nawaz uses this tactic also–but in reverse. Nawaz connects “liberty” and “freedom” with teen pregnancies, adultery, UK children born out of wedlock, and “SDIs in the youth”.
Finally, Nawaz equates Sharia Law with democratic concepts while ignoring the fact that all practical implementations of Sharia have led to dictatorships. Indeed, her bastardization of liberty and freedom imply her idealized Sharia government will be a dictatorship.
To prevent Sharia Law from destroying free nations, people must be alert to this tactic of relating bad ideas to nicer ones, in politics and the media. “Gender justice” and other noble-sounding ideas are the packages that Sharia Law will be “sold” in. We must urge our politicians to reject all forms of Sharia law legislation and avoid voting for politicians like Obama and Mogahed in the future.
