Ramadan, what is this all about? Well, this pertains to the (9th) ninth month of the Lunar Islamic Calendar which usually lasts between 29 to 30 days. It relies on the visual sightings of the crescent moon. As the many people knows, Ramadan is the Muslim month of fasting. Where the Muslims avoid doing the usual chores from dawn until sunset.
In addition, the Holy Month of Ramadan is being held yearly. Hence observing this Islamic Month has a lot of purpose like, focusing more on spirituality, praying more often and witholding any acts of violence during the days of fasting. That all Muslims across the world must participate with the exception of some due to their age and conditions like the elders, sick and pregnant.
The month-long fasting marks the anniversary of the Quran being revealed to the Prophet Mohammed.
