What is the meaning of Magic? If you first look at the dictionary or thesaurus, you will find that the definition of Magic will be related to the words supernatural, the unexplained, or enchantment. Dictionary.com in particular has Magic defined as mysteriously enchanting. And indeed Magic is enchanting. I assure you, most people have at one time in their lives, tried to research the history of magic or the art of magic or spellcasting. Throughout history, and amidst controversy, humans have searched for the origins and meaning of what true Magic really is. Average people try to find out about Magic for their own benefits, or learn magic just for fun, while the scholarly go as far as studying the absolute science of Magic. If you’re either one of these people, then your first step must be finding about the meaning of True Magic.
First of all, True Magic is not illusion. True Magic doesn’t have to do with tricks. I know a lot of people are interested in magic tricks but magic spells are different. True Magic is both an art and science.
Science of Magic
Magic is pure science. Magic, according to A.L. Constant (The History of Magic) is “the ancient and absolute science of nature and her laws.” Ever heard the expression “forces of nature”? Magic is innate or natural to the environment or Earth. Magic power really comes from nature, so it’s not just the result of someone’s imagination. Moreover, True Magic is not made up. It’s not based on cheats or tricks.
There are even principles in philosophy that Magic touches.
What Does Magic Say about Matter, the World, and Life?
Here are some of the most important principles of Magic. According to the study of Magic, anything and everything that appears on nature is ALIVE, including stones, metals, elements, etc. Magic tells us that the World is unpredictable. Everything changes. Everything transforms, grows, or what not. Everything is ALIVE. However, not all alive materials are the same in their level of living. We could say for example that a regular stone is inactive or asleep. When something, or someone, is asleep, it creates very few or no possibilities. Hence, not everything could be used in spellcasting. The things, or people, that have the most life in it have more potentials or power.
Art of Magic
When you’re doing Magic, you’re creating something. By being magical, you’re being creative. Magic is a craft, requiring lots of skill, artistry, and precision. Hence, Magic is an art. Magic is “the art of producing a desired effect or result through the use of incantation or various other techniques that presumably assure human control of natural agencies or the forces of nature” (Dictionary.com http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/magic). Magic or spellcasting means manipulating or controlling the power of nature or natural objects, and using them to give the spellcaster his specific wishes or desires.
Magical Formula
Magic is deliberate. When you’re casting a spell, you’re deliberately aiming a magic power, or intentionally using the energy of nature or natural (magical) objects. In order to succeed in your intentions, you must follow an effective magical formula.
To be able to control and use magic power or magic energy, you need to follow a magical formula, invented and refined by the most powerful witches and wizards of the ancients all throughout history.
Remember, there are only certain ways to do Magic. Magic spells only work depending on determination, and, the right direction. When you cast a spell, you need to be focused and second, you need to follow the correct procedure. More importantly, you must know which kind or which ways of tried and tested Magic that best suits you. In order for you to become a successful magician, you must find your magical formula.
