As many of you know, Christianity rejects the worship of any other God, Gods or Goddesses besides their God. To them there is only one God that created men, and they follow the Bible’s teachings. There were a lot of gods around before the bible came into being. And I know that I am going to get a lot of heat for writing this, but I don’t care. Who says God is the only one higher being; who says that there is a God, overall who says god belongs only to one religion?
Most people think that Egyptians still worship Ra and Amun and all the other gods, but that is not really the case. In Egypt most of the people are Muslims, Christians and Jews. If you ask an Egyptian, What is Kemetism? They are going to say, “What are you talking about?”
There is a growing number of people that is leaving their current religion to worship ancient gods. The religion where the ancient Egyptian gods are worship is called Kemetism. Yes, there are people following and worshiping the ancient gods. But this doesn’t make the religion any better than others. Many people are attracted to it because the Egyptian gods came before Christ and the bible, others think that Christianity doesn’t make sense, and they are not joking when they are telling you that Anubis, Osiris, Isis, Seth, and Horus are the real deal. But I would like to point out that there were many other gods before the Egyptian gods, and many other Gods before that. This only shows me that we all have different views about god and that no religion is right or wrong. Gods or a god were made to bring us comfort, to gives us hope. Let’s face it; nobody really knows for sure what is waiting for us on the other side. Instead of telling other people how they are going to burn in the lake of fire for having different beliefs, why not learn something about their religion? Learning and being part of something are two different things. If you don’t agree with something, then don’t agree with it. No religion is better than the other.
I don’t belong to the Kemetism religion, but I found it beautiful that they want to bring back the ancient gods. It’s sad to see one great civilization gone forever along with their beliefs. Many Egyptians, as stated above, belong to other religions. When you travel to Egypt, things don’t feel the same or look like they once did. I have nothing against Christianity, is just that I find it sad that the Egyptians forget where they are coming from. I am glad to see that some people are bringing back old beliefs, of course, without the mummification process.
