I sometimes wonder the how different religious beliefs got the name that is attached to that particular belief. With every belief that people chose to believe usually has some type background or history.

Wicca is a belief that started back in the 19th century in Britain and inspired by Margaret Murray. However the organizer behind this belief was a man called Gerald Gardner and started to be organized in the 1930’s.

This belief is like new age and has no holy book but use a book of shadows written by Gerald Gardner.  Books written and taught in this belief are called the spirit dance and a witch’s bible.

These people believe in a supreme goddess lord and lady or symbol. Their impersonal force is in everything or a personal being. People who believe in this teaching can be pantheists, polytheists or both.

Jesus is normally rejected or may be considered a spiritual teacher that taught compassion and love. The Holy Spirit is not believed in or no part of what they believe.

These people practice divination and casting spells usually performed in a circle. Wiccans usually form what they call a coven or group of believers. They do not believe people are sinful or need saving.

These people believe that the body replenishes the earth and that is the goddess wish. Some believe in life after death others believe in a place called Summerland some are agnostic and others believe in reincarnation.

What is so strange about Wicca belief and new age belief is both beliefs consider Jesus to be some sort of teacher or spiritual model.

If these two beliefs would realize that Jesus is more than just a teacher or spiritual leader and that he is the king of kings and lord of lords.
