Are People Born Without a Soul?

The Bible tells us that there is good in all people. Maybe there is, maybe there isn’t. It’s a morbid thought, but it does make some sense.

I know what you’re thinking, “Is this girl insane? I mean of course all people are born with a soul.” I thought the same way too until my Dad started to talk about this subject to a customer at work. He said, and I quote, “You know the title of Hillary Clinton’s new book?” The title of Hillary’s new book is It Takes a Village, which comes from the statement ‘It takes a village to raise a child.’ I’m not exactly sure what the book is about, but the statement that Hillary used as a title is completely true.

Let me break it down for you. Adam and Eve, which everyone knows is the first man and woman with a soul. Well, who raised them? The Bible never really tells us, correct me if I’m wrong. If the statement, ‘It takes a village to raise a child,’ is true, then Adam and Eve were raised by souless people. Everyone with a soul is a a a descendant of Adam and Eve, and the village didn’t just die out. So people without a soul would have to be descendants of the villagers that raised Adam and Eve.

Think about this for another moment! People who murder needlessly or just for the fun of it get caught. Do they show any remorse for their actions? Probably not. People who steal just because it’s fun and do a lot of bad things to other people and never feel bad about it. What would you call this person? If they kill, steal and do other unspeakable crimes for the fun of it and never do they feel bad for it? Does that person have a soul? You tell me.

The person who accidentally kills a guy in self-defense shows remorse for his actions, right? The poor person, who can’t afford to feed their family, steals a loaf of bread gets caught. That person is generally very sorry that they did a certain act and they try to get forgiveness. They feel terrible for what they did. Does that person have a soul? You tell me.

For those people who have killed just for the fun of it and truly believe that they do not have a soul, I do believe that if you asked for God’s help and forgiveness he would give it to you. He would give you a soul, but only if you want God in your life. Just remember, not everyone leads a perfect life. You’re not going to feel remorse for all of your bad actions such as fighting with a sibling when you’re younger or yelling at someone. This was just a thought that was passed on to me and I’m passing it on for everyone to see. I want to know what you guys think of this so please comment!

This is some very deep thinking here Alexa. I have to say I’m not quite sure what I think about what you are saying just yet. Will have to ponder it. Great piece though.

I think people are born with a soul, but that soul/spirit needs nurturing, as well as guidance. Without guidance, the soul can be lost!

I’m with Icy on this one. I believe we all have souls but sometimes somewhere without the correct guidance and nurturing it becomes hardened.

Great job, Alexa. We need to think about our choices and be careful of them, and also remember not to be like Cain – am I my brother’s keeper?, because the answer is “yes”, we are.

This is indeed very deep thinking. My belief is that everyone is born with a soul. The soul is your spirit or, the essence of our being.

This is a great article, Alexa. You have people thinking and as far as the expression about taking a village to raise a child, I agree. I think problems happen when the parents lives get too busy. When they depend on TV, video games, computers, and the rest of the village to raise their child there’s bound to be a problem.

Donno what bible you’re reading but it clearly states that Adam & Eve where the first choosen people (jews) I guess you can read into that people with sould…. but naw you can’t …. it also clearly states not all people are born with a soul, but it doesn’t limit it to Jew or other people…..I wish people would actually read and understand the bible instead of taking what father catholic nutsucker has to say or Rabbi Blowbobski.

No One, you cant make a statement like “it also clearly states not all people are born with a soul” without backing that up by stating where it says that!!!

I think if one person has a soul everyone does. God doesn’t have any favorites. We become what we make of ourselves. Some of us have better nurturing and parents who are able to do more toward our education but in the end, Its up to each individual.

Good article Alexa…but the only thing mentioned in the Bible is the presence of God, at least until the forbidden Sin was commited, now they became aware of Sin. The villagers was man made.

I agree with Icy, Judy and Darlene on this one Alexa…everyone is born with a soul but each needs nurturing and guidance without it we’re lost. So far as Adam and Eve not having parents…that’s where faith comes in…ours is not to question but to believe in God’s word.

    Alexa,
Very good article and very interesting. But to answer your question. Yes honey, we all have a soul. Without our soul, these old bodies cease to exist. Our bodies is the clothing our soul chose to wear. When these old bodies no longer can function that when our soul shed it and descends into the afterlife and go to one of two places; Heaven or Hell, but preferably Heaven.

Interesting article Alexa. I tend to go along with Icy, Nick, Darlene and Judy on this one. I believe that all people have souls but that the ‘health’ of those souls depends on how they are nurtured.

I also thought about the expression ‘to have no soul’, or ‘to be souless’ which means ‘lacking sensitivity or the capacity for deep feeling’. Do you think you Dad might have been using the phrase in this sense?

The fact that soul is eternal does not mean it cannot die, Jesus said:
“Do not be afraid of whom can kill your body, because he can not do you a bigger damage, be afraid of whom can kill your soul because this one can kill you forever”
I think everybody has a soul, it enters the body in the conception process, when egg and sperm merge each other.
I think that people that kill other people for fun had a soul once, but it died poisoned by hate and rage.
On the other hand I do not know what to think about Adam and Eve story, I think that that really happened but not in this Universe or in this plain of existence.
I think they were created as souls, not as bodies, and when they were expelled from Heaven, they came here on Earth as souls and had incarnated in apes, that then evolved into human beings (but of course that is just my opinion)
This is a very deep theme, and made me think a lot.
Thank you Alexa for writing and sharing it.
Hugs and kisses and God bless you.

God permits and provides life,so every creature has a soul from god, little particules, that should return to the great source, but a soul may want be God,arrogance pure, arrogance make us steal, kill and so on,this nothing to got with have or not soul.

I believe people do have souls. Much like a brand new white shirt, you can go through you’re day keeping it clean, or you can take it off when the day is over and have it be filthy. People with no remorse I believe, have filthy souls. The thing is that they don’t care about walking around with it, while people like you and I try not to taint it in anyway and try real hard to keep it so fresh and so clean, clean.

Also I think Adam and Eve didn’t need a village since they had God before She exiled them from the garden.

I think this opens a bigger question. Here’s the question…Maybe it’s more complicated then we could ever imagine? Maybe our souls are simply more complicated, interconnected, and so far reaching that we have to water it down so it’s easier to swallow. Maybe when God inspired those who wrote his story they had to figure out a way to send his message in a way people could grasp, because God is infinite right? That means God is bigger and more complex then our little minds can handle and you may never know, at least in this life. I wish I knew the answer, but I don’t, and thank God I’m ok with that :)

Some people do not have souls. The lgiths may be on but nobody’s home. Through astral travel some people cannot re-enter their bodies so their souls are lost. The astral traveler comes back to find his body inhabited by somethng else, some other entity and cannot get back in. That is why astral travel is so dangerous.

I believe everyone has a soul, and unlike your earlier statement about “it takes a village to raise a child” I believe it takes love and understanding to raise a child and that those two requirements can be from just one other significant person, an example would be the child’s mother or father. The soul can be lost in a person if the person isn’t given the love and understanding all humans need to grow. Just like a physical suicide, a soul can be lost inside of the human due to neglect and/or abuse of it. I think of a child who is never given the chance to experience all of God’s gifts. The mountains, the seas, the beauty in nature and the sharing of love from good hearted people. I do believe that the village we are all part of, should collectively produce positive energy which hopefully will find its way to all who live in it and to all the souls which need it to survive and grow.
