Atheism with a Capital A

Above all other rivalries, atheist’s get the most stick. We are ungodly faithless human beings that have nothing to live for and nothing to look forward to when we die. Thats what many religious people say about atheists.

In the above religions, we use a capital letter for all of them except atheism. Why so. Atheism deserves a capital A because, not only is it on a par with the others, it is the only ‘religion’ that is based on fact. We are not gap worshippers, we do not believe we need a book to tell us how to act and we dont need to recruit members. We are secure in our religion because all evidence points to our being right. No other religion can say that. 

We do have beliefs. I believe in human rights, I believe in fairness to all, I believe in equality. I believe in truth.

Why should age-old religions be given the respect of a capital letter when atheism has to make do without. It is more valid and more deserving of status than Scientology or Chritianity.
