Note: This religion article has now been published. Check it out here.
I would like to write an article about the range of people’s beliefs, emphasizing personal experiences as the primary foundation for beliefs. I think we often get stuck labeling people according to their religion, yet those labels tell us nothing of the depth and sincerity of the individual’s beliefs. The purpose of this article will be to honor and convey an appreciation of the beauty of each person’s beliefs and spiritual search. Indeed, even among members of the same religion, each person’s interpretation and experience of the religion is unique—and there is great power in this.
I would love to have you participate in the creation of this article if you are interested. I have asked 10 questions below. I ask that you base your answer to each question on a personal experience you have had. Describing a personal experience is the key requirement. I’d like you to think of your response to each question as a sort of soul excavation, in which you search deep within yourself to bring forth authentic and sincere responses. (As a side note, I love that the word “quest” makes up the first part of the word “question”—as I believe all genuine questions are indeed a quest of sorts.) However, to keep you from obsessing or getting too bogged down, please limit your responses to each question to 1 to 2 paragraphs.
As payment for your participation, at the beginning of the finished article, I will include a list of all contributors with an embedded link to your profile page. And then in the article itself, I will also include an embedded link to your profile page when I discuss your responses to the questions.
After I have written the article, I will send it to all who participated for feedback and approval before I publish it on Triond.
I will need to have your responses to the 10 questions below by July 24.
Best wishes,

This is a great concept and would make for a fascinating read. I would enjoy participating in it myself, as my spiritual outlook has become something of a curiosity among some of my regular readers.
Hi Muse — Yes, I’m one of your regular readers who is curious about your beliefs.
