The world is divided in half, the ones who belief that religion causes war and the ones that don’t. For decades this controversial topic has struck the world.  In this article we are going to explore both points of view and the impact it has on out planet.

Almost part of the population blames religion for the what has been going on over the years. Many state that most of the issues are caused by disputes in religious beliefs. As time goes on, more and more people say that if we didn’t follow any religion that the world would be peaceful.  It has been stated that the problem comes from the various different religions. We have aproximately  19 major groups that can be subdivided and form about 30,000 different religious groups. Many of these group have different religious believes that can cause rage among the population. Historically, many temples have been destroyed due to religious differences.

Religiuos Wars have been going on since the time of christ. “Francis Bacon said there were five causes for holy war: (he wrote in a Christian context, but the categories would be usable by any faith):

  • to spread the faith
  • to retrieve countries that were once Christian, even though there are no Christians left there
  • to rescue Christians in countries that were once Christian from the servitude of the infidel’s
  • recover and purify consecrated places that are presently being polluted and profaned
  • avenge blasphemous acts, or cruelties and killings of Christians (even if these took place long ago)”

Religion, Politics, Science would always be at war with each other. Man will always want to dominate; science would always try to prove religion wrong. There is always a debate between politics and religion.  Politic try to set ground rules that religion doesn’t follow, a great example would be abortion.

For some, religion is war; But, there some of us that belief that religion has nothing to with war. People believe that the man is the cause of our problems. Man and religion are two separate things, they say that man blames religion for everything that happens in the world. The views of religion changes everything, Man believes that if religion didn’t exist that the world would be a better place. Religious people say that it is not true, they believe that man just wants religion out of the way so that they can do whatever they like.

Although the world would always be divided into those who belief and those who dont belief, we must maintain the faith in something. For those who do belief, Religion would always be at war. As long as 30,000 religious groups exist, religion would always have something to argue about. For those who belive that man is the cause of alll problems, the world would always be at war. Man would always want to dominate no matter what the obstacle is. No matter what we do, the world would always be at war. So, What do you believe, is religion the cause of war?
