First of, I would like to say I am not writing this article to smite Christianity, or for that matter, ANY religion. I am simply writing down my views , and opinions. If you have a comment , be it compliment OR criticize , lets keep it civil. We are all people , and everyone is going to have different beliefs.

Well , lets get started! (Please remember, these are MY opinions! )

  1. Freedom

Yep, that’s right. Freedom is one of my reasons that I became an atheist. I was sick and tired of having to go to church, and all those other time consuming things that religion does.

Honestly, I am loving not having to believe in a supernatural force , or a book that has been rewritten thousands of times to the point of complete uselessness.

When I was a little kid, I used to believe in god, each time I questions him I would get a “Do not question god, he is real!” or something similar from my parents. On the other hand, in atheism , I get to believe in science.

Science not only backs up its claims with PROOF , its clearly logical and MAKES SENSE! That’s more than I can say for religion , which requires “faith”.

  2. Sex

Yep, you read that right, SEX! Not only can I have sex freely, and opening, I can also have it without feeling guilty , or ashamed of myself. Honestly, having sex is a natural part of living, and is a major part of the human body. To try to make it into a “sin” is just the most stupid thing I’ve heard in my life.

  3. Logic

Yeah, that’s right, honestly. God is not logical , he does not fit with logic, and he never will. He makes no sense, and of course, there is no proof of his existence!

There is no Geological proof of the great flood.

Adam and Eve could not have existed because fossil records CLEARLY show that dinosaurs and earlier forms of life came 3 BILLION years before humans.

Evolution has shown that we developed from apes, we haven’t just stayed the same.

The fact that there are religions older than Christianity, why would Jesus come only recently, when humans have existed for roughly 2 Million years.
“Angels” and messengers from God seem to only have appeared 2000 years ago, and very frequently, why don’t they any more?

There are bad things in the world, why doesn’t God stop them, if he loves us with all his heart? Letting someone suffer relentlessly, when you have the power to stop the pain easily, is not love.

A woman cannot have a baby and still be a virgin, simple as that.

There are things that ARE impossible, even to God, such as: you cannot add 2 and 2 to equal 198, you cannot take 6 away from 2 without equal ling a negative number.

If god is so forgiving, why did he create a hell?

Why are children born dead, and with diseases and disabilities, they didn’t do anything wrong did they?

  4. Christianity

Yes, that’s right , a religion drove me away from believing in anything at all. The whole… belief of Christianity , and creationism is the most ridiculous thing that I have ever heard. God created the earth in 7 days you say? Oh, and any proof of this mister? Oh, I thought so!

There are so many things wrong with these beliefs, I mean honestly you might as well believe in SANTA and the TOOTH FAIRY, god has just as much proof of existence, that would be of course, NONE.

Not to mention these “heavy” Christians, who go knocking on each door, telling you to convert into Christianity. These freaks tell me that I will go to “hell” , if I don’t believe in god and Jesus, and that this Jesus character loves me so dearly, What do I say to such a profound thing? HOG WASH!

Not to mention those “heavy” Christian mothers, claiming everything is “of the devil” , or “its a SIN! ” , never letting there poor children ever have freedom, not to mention making them emotionally and physically stressed and scarred for life.

In closing, I would like to say that these are just my views, and opinions. I hope I helped some of you , or made you really think about logic, and life.

Logic, tells us that nothing comes from “nothing”.
Science says the universe started in a Big Bang, an explosion coming from a very very very dense pin head. Assuming its true, though even scientists can not really emperically prove it, still, somebody must have created that “pin head”..somebody must have caused it to explode.. who? Call Him in whatever name, but He must be God.
Be blessed, God loves you even if you dont believe Him.

Stephanus, why stop at god then? Who created god? The same logic applies my friend. Open your eyes.

A very interesting article about your beliefs. Like many athiests I converse with, you’ve seen so many flaws within Christianity, whether it be doctrine or theology (no offence is intended to anyone).

    1. Freedom. if i dropped out of school, i’d have more free time, and in nearly all cases, intellectually inferior to those who have received schooling.

Science. Scientific contradictions within the Bible are irrefutable in most cases. In fact, the very story of creation within the Bible goes against the very laws of nature (photosynthesis in particular).
The sciences within the Qur’an (Islam) however, confirm scientific facts (who would of thought a religion could affirm scietific theories, which then become scientific FACT, such as the earth being round, the water cycle, the moons reflected light, the stages of the embryo, Iron being sent down to earth etc etc).
Science however, has no solid proof of the creation of mankind (Darwins THEORY, note the word THEORY, is a fundemantly flawed theory, and has only been utilised by science because they dont really have anything better to go with).

Sex. well going around humping anyone you can find has many damaging effects to society and individuals (as we see within Modern times).

Logic. One can speculate the size of the universe however, will never be able to comprehend its true size.
    The same applies to infity.
The exsistance of a supernatural force (i.e God) is, well in my opinion, reflected in the creations (i.e world around us).
“the great flood” is also talked about in the Qur’an. However, it infers the flood was a regional one, opposed to a world wide one, occuring around the mesapotamiun plains (now Iraq), any only domesticated animals (such as sheeps, cows etc etc) were taken on board, other animals migrated to the area after the flood had resided. There is much proof for this, including a wiped out civilisation.

Christianity. well… In defence of Christianity, the bible (according to major scholars) is a book recording stories much after the death of Jesus(peace and blessings be upon him). Therefore, one must understand the theological aspects of the religion and it’s traditions rather than to believe the bible word for word.

well, these are my opinions in repect to some of the points raised in your article. (please forgive me if i have offended anyone, this was not my purpose)

sorry, a further point a didnt make clear in the logic section was – One can speculate the size of the universe however, We will never be able to comprehend its true size nor be able to imagine it, this however does not mean it doesn’t exsist, rather our minds and intellect cannot fathom its size. thus is the issue of a super natural force.

how come we’ve stopped evolving? surely we could all use some extra fingers to type (not birth defects but actual evolved fingers).

And Jesus (pbuh) was not the first messenger of God, nor the only one. The Islamic belief is that messengers were sent to all nations, throughout the history of humanity ending with the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh).
