We all have heard it time and time again, God is an awesome God, but do we all fully understand how awesome He really is? Whether you believe in Him or not, He is still an awesome God. How else can you describe an entity that has the ability to perform miraculous happenings in our day to day lives? I mean, for those of us who trust and believe, He shows up and shows out on our behalf. How many times have you been in a bind and called on Him to see you through and just like that, He does?
There are times when we can see no possible way we’re going to make it through a situation and before we know it, we look up and that situation has passed us by and we made it through. In these troubled times where the whole world is in so much turmoil, those of us who are trusting and believing in Him can go about our day in total peace. Not that our lives are without turmoil, but there’s a sense of peace in the midst of the storm. Seeing as how our lives have already been a constant struggle, it’s business as usual now that the rest of the world is going through trials and tribulations.
The evening news is filled with chaos from start to finish and we’re looking like, okay, we’ve gone through that and we made it, they’ll be alright. Our relationship and constant dependence on Him has nothing to do with going to church twenty-four seven, paying tithes or any of the other prerequisites that seem to be pounded into us when we do decide to show up on Sunday morning. Trust and believe I’m not knocking those of you who follow that regime. All I’m saying is God is so much deeper than all of that. I can say that, because that is what’s evident in my life.
Each of us should make a commitment to ourselves to get to know Him for ourselves. Church and the Bible are instruments that are to be utilized to get a better understanding of Him when we don’t have a clue. But for us seasoned Believers, we know that none of that really matters to God, the Awesome One.
Some of us go to church religiously and at times, one cannot tell us from those who have never stepped one toe inside of that building. So what’s the point? Who are we fooling? Certainly not the Awesome One? He’s going to be awesome regardless of who we are or who we pretend to be. He’s awesome regardless. And that’s what I’m writing about, His awesomeness. Sometimes when I’m in a situation and know that I’ve done all that I can do within my power, I say God, it’s on you now, I’m trusting you to see me through this. And when He does His part, all I can say is, what an awesome God.
Time and time again He has proven Himself to be a faithful presence in my life, regardless of what others feel about me. My God cares about this child. The peace that has inhabited my life is due to my relationship with Him and Him alone. We understand one another and that’s what makes it work. I’m too busy trying to get my life together to worry about what someone else is doing or not doing. Judge not, lest ye be judged. No other words could be truer.
When we develop a relationship with the Awesome One, we learn to concentrate on what’s going on in our lives. Not that we shouldn’t be concerned about our neighbor, but get your own house in order before you start snooping around someone else’s. When your house is in order, you’re in a better position to keep your brother. But getting back to the Awesome One, won’t you seek Him in all of His glory and see what I’m talking about? He truly is awesome. And that’s just mi3centsworth.

That a great 3 cents worth. I agree with you. Like it!
