Grace Reaps Abundance

Grace is a gift that is given freely, you cannot obtain it by good behavior or good works: GRACE is given to the humble and the obedient in spirit and in heart.

Grace Reaps Abundance

This story and revelation is taken from the scriptures: The Book of Ruth, 2 Corinthians, 1 Samuel, & 1 Peter
Grace is Divine Favor with God! We are redeemed through His Grace.

The Story of Ruth tells us that in the beginning after a tragic event concerning Ruth’s husband, Ruth is then faced with a huge and massive decision in her life, as she chooses a different path for herself. Even though she did not quite understand what she was doing and why, there was a invisible force nudging her to go in the direction her Mother-n-law was going. Her Mother-n-law was named Naomi, A widow, and two sons that have died. Naomi had two daughter-n-laws, one was named Orpah and the other Ruth. Orpah decided to go back into the comfort of her homeland, but Ruth loved her Mother-n-law so much, she chose to humble herself and obey the voice inside her and the invisible hands drawing her. After all three deaths, Naomi could not handle it any longer, so she chose to go back to her homeland and Ruth claved to Naomi and followed.

Now there was a man named Boaz in Naomi’s homeland, he was the man in charge, everything that happened in his fields, and every matter under the sun is made known to him. Boaz is a wealthy man, and a man of God who put God first even if people around him didn’t understand him taking a stand. He was a good and kind man, a leader; loved & respected.

In the Book of Ruth we discover how overcome she is when Boaz approaches her and blesses her with kindness and the liberty to do what she wants as she gleans the fields. Ruth 2:8-9(KJV)
“Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him,
(WHY have I found GRACE in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?”
Ruth 2:10(KJV)

Every matter under the sun was reported to Boaz, so he knew all about Ruth as soon as she entered into his fields to glean the tiny bit of wheat or barley that fell from the ground after the reapers had yield their harvest. Ruth was there from dawn until dusk, never once taking a break or complaining or trying anything dishonest. Where there is Obedience…Blessings will follow. (Ruth, left her father and mother and the land of her nativity, her husband had suddenly died, came to a people she knew not, and because of her love and genuine compassion for her Mother-n-law, she chose to trust her Mother-n-law God.) Ruth 2:11(KJV)

“…to OBEY is better than sacrifice.” 1 Samuel 15:22(KJV)
“…but he giveth more GRACE God resisteth the proud, but giveth GRACE unto the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5(KJV)

“The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.” Ruth 2:12(KJV)

It is amazing to see that in this story Boaz speaks a blessing over Ruth before God allowed them to be married and produce Obed.

WE become redeemed through His Grace. GRACE was placed on Ruth as Divine Favor from Boaz.

BOAZ & RUTH are symbolic to Jesus Christ and His Church!

Question: What was it about Ruth that made her so centered out among all the other gleaners in the fields? There were other maidens, men and reapers. What did she do to be different and attract the eye of Boaz?

Answer: Ruth, chose to trust in God and follow Him rather living for herself and following after the world. She chose a route that was less travelled. It takes great strength and courage to face the unknown and step out into Faith regardless how you feel. That overwhelming desire to go onto the right path is there, but sometimes we ignore it. However, Ruth was desperate and there was an urgency in her to go and prosper! Ruth “was steadfastly minded.” Ruth 1:18(KJV)

Even in our own life, the LORD has already set up a plan and purpose for us; just like Ruth. We all have a choice to obey and follow the path the LORD has placed for us, or we can retreat back into the world and choose to live ourselves; like Orpah, the other daughter-n-law who walked away from her purpose. When we submitt, there is such Power in Submission, and abundance of GRACE will we reap if we choose the right path.

“And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them,
that she may glean them, and rebuke her not.” Ruth 2:16(KJV)

God already knows ahead of time who is going to follow Him, and who is not. In the story of Ruth, who was so steadfastly minded and purposed in her heart that she was going to be in humility to her Mother-n-law and her God, which became her God, and because of that submission and obedience she obtain, Grace and reaped an ABUNDANCE.

Ruth went out empty and came in rich! She went from gleaning in the fields and not knowing what tomorrow would bring, to ending up marring the richest Man name Boaz, and became the mother of Obed, who became the father of Jesse, who was the father of King David. Ruth 4:13-17(KJV)

May the Church (Ruth) stand poised to glean the remaining harvest, and reap the GRACE of abundance from the richest Man the LORD(Boaz)!
