How to Make the Best Career Move of Your Life.

“Anyone who starts to plow and then keeps looking back is of no use for the Kingdom of God” (Luke 9:61-62 New International Version)

Do not say I will follow Jesus, but first I must——– Do not set a schedule for Jesus. Let Him set a schedule for you. Have you ever felt a calling from Jesus, but believed there was something more important to do first? Let us say you felt a calling to go serve in the local soup kitchen, but told Jesus you were too busy at school or with your family. When you accept Jesus into your life, you accept to serve Him. After all, He is a king. So if Jesus is calling you to serve Him and you look back or give up, you are not accepting Him as your king. There is no fence sitting. When He calls, you move towards were He is calling you or you are not a real Christian and of no use to Him.

It can be very scary for sure and a huge leap of faith, but He promises to be with you and supply all your needs.

For me it was His calling me to come to China. I thought He was crazy. Mind you a lot of people thought I was crazy for going. But, in faith I went. I left my family, my friends, my culture to go to a land where I did not even speak the language. In the many years in China it has been very difficult, while at the same time exceedingly rewarding. Any time I needed Him He was always there.

So if you feel Jesus calling you into service GO. You will experience hardships for sure, but that will bring you closer to Him. In the end it will be the best career move you ever made.

Prayer: Jesus Rohi (Jesus our Sheppard) I look forward to Your calling for me. When it happens please fill me with the strength to obey and go where you are leading. I know you know the best place for me to serve You and will always provide for all my needs when that step of faith is taken. In Your wonderful name I pray. Amen.
