Human nature is curiosity. We seek answers to questions that boggle the mind. Why are we here? What is the purpose of it all? The matter of the fact is we don’t know. And yet millions of people are convinced that they have the answer and anyone who disagrees is wrong.
The major religions preach about love, peace, and harmony telling people to love everyone as if they were family. And yet some of the most outspoken religious figureheads in society continuously do just the opposite. They preach about hatred: hate against homosexuals, hate against so called “heretics”, hate against other religions. They make war seem like the only option to a problem we haven’t even searched for other answers for. Instead of looking at the real problems and looking for solutions that might help everyone(even if none exist) they toss up the unknown and unfamiliar to the workings of evil.
What would their God say about this constant flow of hatred? Did he create a world just to see life destroy itself because of different beliefs? It seems improbable that an Omnipotent being would have created life so it could spread words of hate instead of love and peace.
Albert Einstein once said “Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding”. If everyone would take one thing in life that they hate and once a week research the fundamentals of that object they might learn that their hatred is biased and unfounded. They might learn something new that can change their life and the way they percieve others. They might even find they have a lot more in common with everyone else than they thought.
