Bearing in mind the amount of confusion which exists concerning the

Rastafarian faith, I was relieved to locate Jah B whom I have known for some time

now . At first, he would not even condescend to give me the time of day, but suddenly

became cooperative after I mentioned that he would be appearing on television . He

is well-versed in the main dogmas of Rastafarianism, and is, apparently, educated .

The final judgment, however, is yours .

RC.  :  Why are you a Rasta ?

JB.  :  I-man not a Rasta . I am Rastafari, I-self .

RC.  :  How is that so ?

JB.  :  I-self, I the living flesh, and I the eternal spirit which gives life to this flesh, stand

before all Babylon as the true representative of the King of Kings, and Lord of

Lords, the conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, His Imperial Majesty

Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, and of the scattered sons and

daughters of Mother Ethiopia-Africa the Black homeland .

RC.  :  I must admit that I’m a little confused at this point .

JB.  :  Why so ? Because you cannot comprehend . I manifest as flesh, or man, who

you know as Jah B .You can only identify I through my physical self . But that is

not even the half of who I am . My true self you cannot touch ; for I am spirit .

And that spirit is what directs thoughts and actions, and gives utterances .

The Babylon Bible says that God is spirit, and we must worship him in spirit

and in truth . The same Bible says, in Genesis, that God created Man in his

own image, after his own likeness .  Therefore, if God is spirit, and not flesh,

how could he, incorruptible spirit, make corruptible, weak, sinful flesh in his

own  image, and  after his own likeness ?  Is sin that cause flesh to manifest .

RC.  :  If my memory serves me right ; you said that you are Haile Selassie .  How

            could  that be so ?

JB.  :  Oh ye of little faith !  Before the world was, I am .  Not this piece of physical

flesh that you see here, but I, Jah, the everliving and universal spirit .  I am the

beginning . And my word was I-self before I expressed it .  There was only I,

           and nothingness .

RC.  :  Nothingness ?  What do you mean ?

JB.  :  Read Genesis chapter one, and John chapter one .  After I expressed my

word, my word created the heavens and the earth .  ” The earth was without

form, and was void ; and darkness was upon the face of the deep .”  What the

I check say that mean ?

RC.  :  You tell me .

JB.  :  ”Without form ”  and  ”void”  mean  ”nutten” .   That means, apart from I, Jah,

the everliving spirit, everything was dark, empty, and just don’t exist .  I was,

am, and shall forever be the only existence .  For it was my word which

uttered, and became all things .

Mr. Pastor says that Jah called all things into existence .  But how could

he, when there was just nothing ?  Where were they before he called them ?

How can something come out of nothing ?  The Word became all things .  It

also became flesh, John says so .

So I, the Living Word, and my Father art one .  This will soon pass away,

but  I am alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, which was, and is,

and  is to come ; the first and the last ; and I have the keys of Hell and of

Death . Behold I live forever more, Jah Rastafari !

RC.  :  Do you expect me to publish what you just said ?

JB.  :  Without a doubt .  For is truth .

RC.  :  Well, let’s return to the topic .  You are trying to justify your first statement by

saying that you are two beings instead of one .  You are, firstly, a spiritual

being ; the Christ, and, secondly, a physical man, Jah B .

JB.  :  No !  I said nothing of the sort .  How could I say that I am the Christ when I am

           not a Greek ?  Neither am I Apollo .  I am Rastafari !

I-man Rastafari was born in sin and shapen in iniquity like everyone else

who is born in the time of the wicked .  But one day Redeemer Selassie I

called I and said, ” Sin no more, for I have set you free .’   From that day I am

no more a representative of Satan, incarnation of the word of Death and

destruction, but now I represent Jah, manifestation of the Word of Life ; the

same Word which became all things in the beginning .

You see, Bredren, it was that same Word which became, or created,

light,  the sun, moon, stars, and all things .  That same word created, or

became, angels and archangels . That is the Word of Life spoken of by John.

Jah Rastafari ! Everliving, everfaithful and ever sure . Selassie I, Jah

Rastafari !  Earthquakel lightning and thunder, brimstone and fire !  Jah

         Rastafari !
