When I was fourteen, I participated in a summer educational program. During one of the classes, we each had to draw a topic from a bucket., and write a 30 second speech about it. I drew the topic, “If you could change only one thing about the world, what would it be?” For me, this was a simple task.
Remember that Sunday school song, “Jesus Loves the Little Children”? I opened with that song, followed by my speech.
“If I could change one thing about the world, I’d change the fact that we hate each other based on race. When we’re babies in the hospital nursery, we’re too new to care who the neighbor in the next crib is. And when we’ve all killed each other because of the color of our skin, well, we won’t care who our neighbor in the cemetery is either.”
And to those who would cast the first stone….
Jesus said “Love thy neighbor”, not “Love thy neighbor only if they look like you”.
Jesus made no exceptions.
So why can’t we???

Indeed. Very intelligent. Respect to you, Zoey
