Kentucky Church Bans Interracial Couples From Joining Congregation

In what they call a move, “to promote greater unity” among its body and the Pike County community it serves, a small Kentucky Baptist church has voted to ban interracial couples from membership and from participating in certain worship activities. I think it’s pretty cool how they did this at this time, if anyone remembers, it was 56 years ago this week that Rosa Parks made her stand, (or shall I say sit) on the bus in Montgomery. This story and more information can be found on Kentucky.com about this wonderful church.

It truly makes me proud to admit that I am a Christian knowing that my brothers and sisters in Christ are spreading the word, the word about hatred and racism, a lot of these “white” folks are going to be in for a big surprise when they die and meet Jesus and see the color of his skin. It has been proven that from the area He was from He was naturally dark skinned just in case you didn’t know.

Now from what I have read and understand, the Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church made the decision earlier this month, following a visit from 24-year-old Stella Harville, daughter of the church’s secretary and clerk, and her 29-year-old fiancé, Ticha Chikuni, a native of Zimbabwe.
It has been reported by Stella’s father, Dean Harville that Stella brought Chikuni to the church in June where they performed a song for the congregation.
Now I’m guessing that they either dislike people that have darker skin then them or the performance really sucked, either way if you are not a good ol’ white family you can not attend this church anymore, but please feel free to visit the gift shop or put cash in the box on the way out so they can make their quota for the week and mail it on up to God.

Following the visit, former pastor Melvin Thompson told Mr. Harville that his daughter and her fiancé could not sing at the church again. (yea they must have sucked ass) Thompson later proposed that the church go on record saying that while all people were welcome to attend public worship services there, but the church did not condone interracial marriage.
His proposal however, was accepted by a 9-6 vote last week, and suggested that married interracial couples be prohibited from becoming members and used in worship activities, except for funerals. Hum, hangings anyone? Maybe, but wait, if you are not a member how can you do a funeral? And if you are dark skinned will they bury you?

I am Caucasian but get real dark in the summer so does that mean if I move there I can only go to church in the winter? Just some questions I have about this.

Anyway, the church member, or so called “mastermind” behind the whole ordeal, Melvin Thompson, said he is not racist and called the matter an “internal affair.”
“I am not racist. I will tell you that. I am not prejudiced against any race of people, have never in my lifetime spoke evil” about a race, said Thompson, the church’s former pastor who stepped down earlier this year. “That’s what this is being portrayed as, but it is not.” (Just my opinion but I think Melvin is lying)

Ah, well, while other countries that hate us and are secretly building nukes in the names of their Gods to take us out for a long lunch, we are still worried about who looks like what, and we have the balls to call this grouping of states ”United”, what a effing joke.
