How many times have you given up when a little more effort, a little more patience would have achieved success? It is said that patience and perseverance can overcome mountains. Patience is the strength to wait, the ability to endure. Good things come your way only when you move forward positively, are patient with yourself, your work and with others. It expresses faith in your own ability.
Sometimes, waiting is not easy, but it is always worth it. At times, god may act more slowly than you wish. These are his ways of testing your patience and strength. The stronger you remain, the better are the rewards.
Do You Know?
In China, there is a bamboo tree which is plated, watered and fertilized for the first four years and yet it dose not appear to grow during that time. There is no visible sign of growth. But sometimes during the fifth year, the bamboo tree grows about 90 feet in six weeks! The question is; did the bamboo tree grow in six weeks or did it take five years to grow even though there was no visible sign of it taking root in the ground? When there was no visible sign, if someone had stopped watering and fertilizing it, would this have happened? – Certainly not. The bamboo tree would have died. We need to learn from the nature and the lesson is pretty clear. Have patience and faith and keep doing the right thing, even though the results may not be visible, something positive will happen.
Patience and Perseverance

Once a science teacher took a group of students to the laboratory to show how a butterfly emerges out of its egg. He gave them instructions to just watch and not touch it and he left.
All the students watched with wonder and excitement the butterfly was making great efforts to free itself of the egg shell. It was taking very long and it had still not come out. One of the boys lost patience and broke the shell apart to make the butterfly free. Sometime later the butter died. On coming back the teacher reprimanded the boy and then explained, “Nature has its own unique ways and we should not interfere with t. while struggling to free itself, the wings of the butterfly actually become strong and later help it for survival. T is a long and a patient struggle. You stopped the natural process and saw the consequence for yourself.’’
The boy was ashamed. He silently vowed not to ever lose patience.
Patience is a virtue which needs to be cultivated. It is a sign of strength. When you have the patience to continue making the effort, you will reach your goal.
Pray to God to give you the strength and faith you need when you come across difficult situations. Pray to god to help you dispel your anger and disappointment and give you the strength of patience and perseverance.
