Does God Exist? This question about the Christian God is a common one. In the world there are usually two broad groups: those who believe, Christians (or believers), and those who don’t believe, atheists (or non-believers). Christians base their belief based mainly on the Bible and the opinions of the church. Atheists base their belief that God does not exist mainly on the fact that they do not accept the evidence of his existence. I am writing this as a proof that God does exist, because logically, it makes sense.
The first point on why God has to exist is what created earth? Many people say, “Well, there was a massive explosion, called the Big Bang Theory, that the universe was created from.” There are many problems with this idea, unless it came about through God. This is logically highly unlikly to have occured without the guidance of God. Just like a lightning storm will never chop wood into perfect beams, nails become created on their own, and the wind blow these together into a house, neither is it likely that an explosion (uncontrolled by God) puts together a universe at random that happened to create the perfect living space for humans. So the theory is possible, but it would have had to have been controlled by God, and if it was controlled by God, God exists.
Another argument going along with the Big Bang Theory is “the first cause.” This argument, created by St. Thomas Aquinas, says that everything that has a begining is caused by something, and if you follow the causes back and back eventually you are left with only one option, God. For example, a house is created by a builder. The builder was created from his parents. His parents from there parents. If you follow this all the way back to the creation of the universe, what created it. The only answer is God. Many people say this argument contradicts itself because of the question, “What created God?”. The athiest thinks, “Aha, i have you Christians trapped here.” But if one looks closely at the argument, it says that everything that has a begining is caused by something. Part of the definition of God is that he has no begining, so the argument stands. God created the perfect living space for humans.
The perfect living space for humans, for life, well that doesn’t take much does it? Yes it does. In order to sustain human life, there has to be water, oxygen, specific foods that fullfill the requirements for our body to function, and many other materials. It would be impossible for the food alone to be created randomly with the requirements of all the different proteins, vitamins, minerals, fats, and so on required for the body to function, let alone the other requirements for life such as the perfect atmosphere and sunlight. Also the Earth spins on it axis and rotates around the sun at a specific and exact speed so that our planet is warmed and cooled perfectly every day. The Earth is so complex, it is impossible to imagine it created by chance.
But, the Earth is not the only complex thing in the universe. The human itself, like most living things on our planet, is highly complex too. The brain alone is unlikely to be created by chance. It is made so perfectly. It takes in your sight, smell, touch, hearing, and taste. It tells every muscle in your body when to work and how to work. The brain proccesses more than a million messages every second. It controlls every organ in your body. Every organ is then made up of specific proteins and cells. Every cell in your body is made up of many parts. This complexity could not have been created by chance and only points to an inteligent designer, God.
Along with the brain, everyone on this planet has a conscience. Everyone knows to do the right thing (whether or not they act upon this knowledge is a whole different story). Lets look at normal everyday experiences. Why is it that most people are helpful? When you can’t reach something in the grocery market, what makes that person next to you say, “Oh let me get that for you.” ? What makes family, friends, and strangers help each other out in time of need? What makes the world want to do good? The conscience built in everyone of our brains is the answer. Who created this conscience? Notice that the question is “who created”, not “how did it come to be”, because logically a non-intelligent, non-living, object could not have created intelligence. Only intelligence could have created intelligence. Only a moral creature could have created another moral creature. So now we look back before the time of life in our universe, and we ask ourselves, “what is the only moral, living, intelligent creature that was out there.” The only answer is God.
The idea that follows the Big Bang Theory from the point between the creation of the universe and human life today is Evolution. Evolution is an explanation of how we got from the point of the first cell on Earth untill now. But, how did that first cell get created if there was no liife to create it? We have found no evidence of spontaneous generation, or life coming from non-living matter. So why would this first cell be the only exception in the universe? Logically it does not make sense to have these rules that life comes only from life itself, and then make the exception of the rule for one thing: to disprove the existence of God. Following this rule, it is impossible for life to have been created without God. But, as we see for ourselves, life is created. So unless we contradict our own laws and logics of science, the only explination for the start of life has to be God.
God started life, God created Earth, and God created organized laws of the universe. Every time i toss something in the air, it falls back to the ground. When i pick up a penny it does not float out of or go through my hand . If i kick something, it hurts my toes. We can keep on repeating these tests and they will be consistant every time. There are laws of the universe that will stay consistant. No human can break the laws. Miracles are things that break consistant laws of nature and the universe. There is only one explination for mircales, God. I cannot do them, you cannot do them, and no one on this earth can do them. Then how are they done? If they are done by something other than creatures on this planet, they have to be done by God. This means that if we know miracle happen we know God exists. We know miracles happen. Whether people believe they happen through God, through random nature, or do not know how they happen, almost every person believes miracles happen. If miracles exists God exists. Miracles exist. God must exist.
An argument against God working the miracles, creating the universe, and existing in general is that we cannot see him. Personally i do no think this is a valid point against there being a God. Firstly, I think this because many people saw Jesus while he was alive. Jesus is God. People have seen God. But then this brings us to another topic, “Is Jesus God”? In order to say whether Jesus is God or not, first you must say did Jesus exist or was he just a fictional figure of the Bible. Records written around 10 CE talk about Jesus of Nazareth being a person. It is a wide known fact that he existed, but was he God? His twelve apostles believed he was God because he resurected from the dead. This is something only God can do. But what if they were lieing? Eleven of the twelve apostles of Jesus died from persecution. Who would die for a lie? I wouldn’t. There might be someone crazy out there who would, but eleven people is a lot to die for a lie. For this reason, I believe Jesus is God. Since people saw Jesus, and Jesus is God, then people saw God.
That answer may not be sufficient for everyone, but other reasons exist as to why the argument against not being able to see God is invalid. The second reason is that there are many things that are not visible but are proven to be there. For example, the gravitational field is all around us. I cannot see it. You cannot see it. But yet, it is a law of science. There are magnetic fields which attract certain metals and magnets. Again, no one can see them, but they are proven to be there. Also, the light that alows us to see is made up of electromagnetic vibrations. These vibrations for the light we see actually only make up three percent of a wide range of electomagnetic vibrations of which we cannot see. So as you can see, just because you cannot see something, does not mean that it does not exist.
If a person opposes even the possibility of there being a God, then all the evidence thrown at him/her will not make a difference. The person will rationalize the evidence away and will not accept it. For example, I could say that no one has landed on the moon. I could be shown videos, meet the astronauts, touch the moon rock brought back, compare the rock to the rock on the moon, but I could say that i still do not believe. I could rationalize the evidence and say that the video was a hoax, the astronauts were lieing, and that the rock was created in a labratory. It is the same with God. If you throw away all beief in him, and proclaim that, no matter the evidence, you still won’t believe in him, then your mind will not be persuaded to believe.
In conclusion, there is a God. He is out there. The universe is so complex he has to be out there. Everything had to come from something. The concscience had to be created by something. That something is God. Although we cannot see him, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t exist. Open your eyes, open your ears, and you will see God’s works in your everyday life

Excellent Post,May it reach people and get them using their God-given intelligence!!
God Lives!,and may He richly bless you.
God does exist and he lives in everyone. Our lives are mapped out and God gave us the freedom of choices. You choose what paths you will take and you will either enjoy the benefits or suffer. The key is you can make choices that change your suffering. The end is the the same for everyone, the question is how the quality of life you have is based on the choices you make. Go out and make good choices and make your choice GOD.
nice work would you mind if i showed my cath. Christianity teacher?
