In my last post I wrote of relationships as to Hercules and Samson!
Now we may look at these relationships of the bible and Greek mythology as just a thought however it was not just these two cultures that seam to speak of tails that were very similar in the way they sound. Now do not get me wrong as to my thoughts saying that these tales were based on each other in for or reputation Told. No we as thinking men must look at the events as substance in there for of conversation told over many years around fire light! To some Scholars they would dismiss any relation ships between cultures and religion because we are brought up to believe only on religion or bible as the right bible. Or the direct word of god. Yet in saying that we must ask if we as men all only spoke of one text or religion as being the correct religion then why would the creator create diversity and other cultures and thoughts in man! If all creation was to believe think and know the same things then there would be know room for open thought or discussion in the world as compromise.
This brings me to the Tower of Babble In the story I read that all men were the same and believed the same they all spoke the same words and in life had little to no diversity in anything they did.
Now in another story I read from another culture in China there was a Great War lord Emperor who ruled over the world and the entire world spoke the same words and lived in his kingdom doing the same things!
Now in the bible we learn that there was an idea that man would build a tower up to the heavens so that men could prove that they were in a sense like god saying there is nothing man can not do!
In the China story the Great war lord Emperor was on day praying and thought that he was not close enough to his god he believed that some one in his position should be honored by his god and to do this he instructed his people to build a great tower on a huge mountain so that he could be seen as more than man but a god among man!
Each stories speak of towers and mans desire to be closer to god or be men that are gods.
Now the Tower of Babble according to the bible was not seen as a good thing by god he saw it as a sinful pride that man would attempt such a thing so he struck man with a mixture of words that confused one another to the point that no one could understand any one to get anything done! Hence the work stopped and the different cultures and people of different race now went there way dividing the world and its people! Hence the name Babble!
In the story of the great Emperor All the men of the world began to build this tower and a great dragon attacked the people blowing fire on the people scattering them all over the world stopping the tower from being built. The tower was called Faille! It was said the Emperor angered the dragon spirit that lived in the mountain and for trying to build such a tower on its mountain it cursed the Emperor by taking away his tong. So that he could only speak in sounds of Babbling! To the people that was left in his kingdom!
Now the relationships of these stories are interesting in the least as to why would they be told if at some point an event of such did not take place? With these and many other stories we as thinking man can guess that truth is in the eye of the story teller.
