Hercules and his strength given him by the god Zeus as a half god the Greeks are not far from the modern day bible in their tails and mythology when it pertains to religion.

Hercules was a side story based on a true story written in the Bible about a man named Samson!

Samson was given great strength by god because he kept his word to god and his people to remain pure by not cutting his hair or drinking strong drink!

And a few other things like eating no unclean flesh!

Now the way both stories are told they both seam to be one in the same of sorts!

Both men were given great strength by a higher being slash a god.

Both men were seduced by evil women that caused them to have to do some sort of Penance for their actions.

Each man was said to have faced off with a lion and killed it with their bare hands.

Each man had made enemies with a king that wanted them dead.

Each story is told to teach lessons with great strength comes great responsibility not just to ones self but to ones people!

Each story although written a bit differently in structure speaks of great battles that the strong men faced and Concord!

Each spoke as to the men in the end finally understanding what being part of gods kingdom meant.

Not only to them selves  However to those that would follow in times to come their stories.

In the end each man died in their enemies presents!

Doing one final deed of penitence.

Hercules asking Zeus to allow him to die with his enemies and Samson placing his hands on two pillars and pushing them apart to crush his enemies one last time asked god to allow him self also to die among his enemies!

In my next post on this we will look at other cultures and stories that have a relationship with our religions and stories as teaching tools for modern day beliefs!

Are we sure we didn’t get that “based on” part maybe the other way around? Or perhaps they both borrowed from older cultures? The Hebrews were nomadic shepherds for a good long while.

It is very posible we are in my posts looking at similarities as to religions and stories past down through many cultures If we look at any thing that is meant to have a lesson in it we can find relationships as to points made to teach lessons based in fact or fiction ! Much that I will speak of is defiantly open for discussion as to text read and studied . It is said that when speaking of a subject it is dead until its debated and brought to life by thoughts of other minds opinion then the ideas can grow like a flower on the fine!
