Ever since the Evolution of Combat, training spots have been neutralized. But there is a new training spot, and it is better than the rest: Deadly Red Spiders.
The spiders are in the Varrock Sewers. Here is the armor that you should wear:
- Rune Full Helm
- Rune Platebody
- Rune Platelegs/Skirt
- Fancy Boots
- Rune Gauntlets
- Ring of Devotion
- Power Amulet
- Team Cape
You may opt out the power amulet for the strength amulet, however I prefer the power amulet for its all around bonuses.
The weapon of choice is the Rune 2H Sword. Even though the weakness of the spider is crush, the sword owns above all other weapons.
Here is the inventory loadout:
- 4 four dose Strength Potions
- (Optional) Teleport Runes
- Rest of inventory is Swordfish
The ability bar loadout is common knowledge. It’s everything for strength and attack. Ability training is faster experience than momentum training, but momentum training is less strenuous.
When you get to the sewers, you will find that the spiders are non-aggressive. This sucks, but is unfixable. You must manually attack them.
Another thing you will notice is that you get the experience at the end of the kill, rather than getting experience for what you hit. This is normal, as per an update in a group of updates for the Evolution of Combat. You will be annoyed at first, but hopefully you will adjust to these changes.
In the end, you should get more experience than pre-EoC. With less worlds and a smaller training area, more people may be training with you. However there are enough spiders for everyone. If you find that there are too many people, just switch worlds, or go to the Karamja Volcano and kill the spiders there. It is the same concept; it is just in a different location.
