My view on the death penalty…

The death penalty is used on people who do serious crimes in society. It shouldn’t be brought back in countries that don’t use it because its not the correct way to serve justice.

Everyone should be given the proper punishment. Some places still believe it is the right thing to do, this is for the wrong reasons. The death penalty is not fair to the person receiving it and their families and friends. Also the wrong person could be convicted.

The death penalty shouldn’t be brought back because if you kill somebody that has killed someone that makes you as bad as them. Which makes you a murderer. There for justice should be served to you and so forth.

When the crime is done the person should receive the proper punishment for their crime, such as the way it runs in a normal society now. Such as when you do murder you get life in jail, stealing’s penalty depending on value, this gives more chance for people who do less of a crime to get a second chance.

In certain countries the death penalty is still used, these countries are china with 470+ ( Other say 5000+) Iran with 317, Saudi Arabia, 143+, Pakistan 135+, U.S.A 42 and Iraq with approximately 33. Most other countries have put the death penalty to practice at one stage but realise it isn’t the right way. The countries that use it have the wrong idea on why it should be used.

The death penalty is not fair to the person receiving this punishment and there families. It is not fair to the person because it is taking their right to live away. Therefore if you give them a deserved jail sentence they still keep that right. Their families get someone taken away from them, this means that their kids could grow up without a mum or dad. Parents lose their son or daughter. Wife’s and husbands lose their other halves and could lead to being broke or lead to self harm or being mentally ill. Some people could lose there best friends.

When a crime has been done there can be lots of different suspects, finding the right one doesn’t always happen so therefore justice can not be served, if a innocent person was convicted they could be given the punishment of death and it wasn’t them who done it, so an innocent person being killed for nothing, Also a mentally challenged person could be to blame, the person could plead not guilty because they weren’t in there normal state of mind.

Death penalty is the wrong idea on dealing punishment. Overall jail time is better than any other punishment it is fair to everyone and is much easier, Being electrified or put at the other end of the firing squad and never seing anyone again is much worse spending a sentence in jail and not getting to see anyone again.
